announcement 3/22/2013

This IT thread is currently on hold till an unknown future date. Right now I am more focused on my regular art shop and request thread.

Any contests submissions will be left as is so if I reopen this in the future I will make sure everyone's effort up till now is included.

For now though this shop will sit in limbo until I decide to move forward with it.

This is a breedable and changing pet shop to be!
Please feel free to stick around in chat, lend your opinions, and promote the shop!

There will be plenty of contests as there is a lot about the shop that still needs to be done.
Currently all that is set in stone it the pets that the shop will be based around. Other than that, the rest is still TBD!!

✪How many Pets will I be allowed to have? There is not limit on the max number you can own. In the beginning we may limit individual events just so we can get pets to more individuals for RP purposes.

✪How can I get one? They will be available via usual means. Flatsales, Raffles, auctions, RP events, CYOAs, etc.

✪Can they be rehomed No. Your pets will be yours forever.

✪Will RP be required to get one? Nope! There will be benefits for RP but it it not required.

About
Species Name :: Currently Unknown
Typical Age Range :: Oldest known is 127 years old (they age similar to sea turtles)
Typical Number of Offspring :: 2-3, in rare cases 4-5
Colors :: No color restrictions
Size :: About the size of a bobcat

Traits :: Their face and upper body are similar to that of a normal house cat. They distinguishing features are the dorsal fins that protrude from the middle of their forehead and run down their spine till about their mid back. They also have another pair of smaller fins that start below their elbow and end at what would be their arm pits. Their fur ends at their haunches and turns into a sleek tail, similar to a dolphin tail.

They have the ability to breath indefinitely underwater as they have gills, just like a fish. These gills, however, are not in the same location you would find on a fish. They are actually in their nasal cavity, and aren't visible just looking at them.

Their fur is composed of 2 layers, the sleek top coat, which helps keep water out, and the thick undercoat, which keeps them warm in colder water.
