No one really remembers what really lead up to the war, only that tension started to rise about 14 years back. Seeds of doubt and envy were planted in the minds of a few figures, and from those seeds chaos started to sprout and expand. Many people suffered due to the ignorance and envy of a few who thought it best to start a war rather than swallow their pride and learn from one another. And while several regions tried to keep their heads low and stay out of the affairs of others even they could not escape the chaos. They too found themselves sending their own people out into the frenzy in hopes of surviving a war that wasn't theirs to fight.

The time before The Great War was a time of peace and advancement. So much of the world was still a vast mystery, and though research was being done in individual regions it was clear that scientists were only starting to scratch the small amount of surface they could find. Though the trading of information was encouraged there was only so much that could be done. It was a time where some regions were still unable to communicate with others on a regular basis. Some regions didn't even know others existed!

But as time passed it was clear that not all regions were equal. Sinnoh, at the time, was going through a technological renaissance. Cities were being built and modernized. New forms of energy and transportation was being researched and tested. Items were being improved upon while new items were being designed. Their excitement and inspiration was starting to spread to areas like Hoenn and Johto who started research and modernization of their own.

Kanto on the other hand was not pleased. They had neither the money, people nor resources to join the race towards a better tomorrow. And from that jealousy the war started.

First is was just Kanto and Sinnoh, but soon Johto had no choice but to join Kanto while Hoenn joined Sinnoh’s side. Many lives were lost, cities leveled and resources diminished. Unova, though they had done a good job of remaining almost invisible was soon dragged in as well when they were bombed by Johto. Only the Orange Islands and Kalos had escaped the frenzy.

Қanto
Compared to the other regions Kanto is a relatively simple place with basic technology. They are a more traditional and simple people who specialize in farming and other types of labor rather than research and more modern works. There ways have improved somewhat thanks to their allegiance with Johto, but even that does not help much after the war. Their rebuilding has been a somewhat slow and painful process, especially since not everyone has chosen to return to Kanto, but they try to keep a positive tune. They made their mistakes, and they will have to learn to live with them and pay the price, but that will not stop them from trying to move forward and learn from everything.


Ѻrange Archipelago
The Orange Archipelago is one of the two regions that managed to stay out of the war. While it was no longer a tourist attraction during the war, it did become a region were refugees would flee to until the war ended, and even become the new home to several refugees. These days the Orange Archipelago has become a tourist attraction once again, and is also a good place to attempt to find Pokémon of different colorations and markings.


Јohto
The region of Johto is located south west of Kanto. Unlike their brother region, Johto is slightly more modern and has embraced the technological renaissance, though they have not gotten as far as other regions. Instead they have chosen to keep things simplistic and only accept what they feel is beneficial to their region without overpowering what they already have. Their region has seen a lot of damage from the war, and they are being asked to pay restitution for bombing Unova, but they are taking things one day at a time as they rebuild and try to help Kanto as well.


Ӈoenn
Hoenn is a large landmass surrounded by smaller islands. It is located out in the ocean south of Johto and Kanto. Most of their lands are very diverse, from normal cities and towns to rainforests, deserts and volcanos, which results in many adaptable and diverse Pokémon to be found and captured. Hoenn is lucky because the region left the war with minimal damage thanks to their location and being able to help contain the war within Kanto and Johto. With most of the damage fixed they have taken to returning to their research of the surrounding oceans and tales of both Groundon, Kyogre and Rayquaza.


Șinnoh
Tales say the Sinnoh region was the first region to ever be created, but these days those tales are meaningless and it is seen as just another region. The region is known for is conservation and natural energy sources. It is also known for its many natural attractions which bring in a lot of tourism. Though it is located plenty ways north of Kanto somehow, thanks to patience and careful planning, it was still attacked. They took plenty of damage, but they survived thanks to help from Hoenn and their own careful planning.


цnova
Unova is a metropolis and is located considerably far from the other regions of the world. Their pokemon are different from those located in the other regions thanks to being located away from the others. However, these days the Unova region has more interactions with the other regions thanks to the war. Currently, they are keeping contact with the region of Johto into to be retribution for being bombed.


Ӄalos
The Kalos region is one of the most technologically advanced regions, next to Unova. It possesses a vast array of rivers and beautiful environments to explore. Like many of the regions, it is also located near the ocean. Luckily, Kalos was able to stay out of the war and spend their days in relative peace. But it did have to play a role in opening their arms to escaping refugees.

The Great War has caused many casualties of both the human and Pokemon race, but unlike the Pokemon race the human race has been knocked out of balance in some regions. For example, in the Kanto region there has been a decline in adult males and there has been a rise in casualties among preteens. If you wish to survive you must understand the information found below.

Getting Started

▨ You do not need to have a Pokemon to create a character.
▨ Characters may be OCs, but they may NOT be cosplays.
▨ You may have however many characters you feel like you can handle.
▨ Your character must be 10 years or older.
▨ Children between the ages of 10 to 13, who are sent out into the wild, have a high mortality rate.
▨ Trainers between the ages of 10 to 13 are at risk of being mauled, kidnapped, murdered, dying of starvation, getting lost, ect.
▨ Occupation is not limited to trainers. Characters may take up any occupation they wish as long as it makes sense and does not break any rules.
▨ Characters may come from any region and town they wish.
▨ Characters may freely travel wherever they wish.
▨ There is no character art at the moment.

Though humans have lived alongside Pokemon for as long as they can remember it is safe to say that people understand very little about them. Centuries have been put into studying these creatures, and yet we are only beginning to scratch the surface. We know they are able to be domesticated. We know they hold great amounts of power, and yet we do not mind giving our 5 year old kid one as a companion. We know while they are able to be captured that does not mean they will listen to the one who captured it. However, they are our companions. We are dependent upon one another for survival and companionship.

Getting Started
▨ Approach Pokemon with caution! While some Pokemon have been successfully domesticated others are still very much feral. They won't hesitate to attack. They will not instantly obey due to being caught. Approach with caution. Battle with caution. Tame with caution. It takes time and patience to earn their trust. Battling is an instinct.
▨ Characters may own however many Pokemon they believe they can handle, but may only carry 6 on their person at any time.
▨ Pokemon may be battle Pokemon, pets, strays, ferals, therapy Pokemon, whatever they wish.
▨ Pokemon may gain scars from battle or even die.
▨ Pokemon may evolve after a month of ownership and by meeting certain requirements.
▨ Legendary Pokemon may only be gained through rare special events, if at all.

Markings
▨ Pokemon must always have their natural markings, though they may be slightly altered in appearance and opacity to encourage diversity.

▨ Though it is uncommon, some Pokemon may have markings such as underbelly, spots, stripes, paws, and socks even through their species do not have such markings.

Coloration

Normal
Normal coloration is the normal, natural, coloration of a Pokemon. While a Pokemon can come in any shade of their normal coloration, the only exception is if one of the shades happens to be the colors of the rare shiny coloration.

Shiny
A shiny Pokemon is a Pokemon that possesses a rare recessive gene which causes a difference in coat color. The color of a shiny Pokemon's coat depends on the species. Some specie's colorations may be drastic, while others are only a shade or two lighter or darker from their normal coloration. Sometimes you can't even tell the difference unless you look really closely.

Partial Shiny
A partial shiny Pokemon is a Pokemon that possesses the shiny gene, but it only affects part of the Pokemon's coloration.

Mutation
Full and partial melanism and albinism do exist within the Pokemon world, but they are rare.
