Such a discussion has nothing to do with liberals or "Hollywood", which believe in a hybrid economic system and capitalism respectively. Around here in the US, the blue-dog Democrats, Republicans, and conservative Independents are the ones that believe in strict censorship laws (liberals generally hate the DLC). Which is a social argument, and not an economic one. Bolded a few words for you. Already addressed that PARTY PARTY PARTY but i dont think republicans are really hard lining this, i mean all the [edited] social causes are taken up by the left for the most part i think If you're going to be a partisan hack after I've been polite, could you at least not throw around words that minimize respect for the LGBT community? After all, this is the conservatives that are holding onto the issue of censorship. This "problem" Obama has with video games is a misrepresented quote, where he discusses that parents need to tell their kids to put down the video games and do their homework. This is an issue of what it takes to be a responsible parent, not about video game censorship. People bring this up all the time and pretend it's him saying something else. I included blue dog Democrats and DLC Democrats (I say she's part of both, but at the least she's a proven DLC Democrat). Liberals hate blue dog/DLC Democrats. largo round It says not to quote rule breaking posts, so I'm not quoting, but you really need to be civil. Insults are not the way to make a point. I already proved that Chavez has nothing to do with liberal principles, because, and this happens a lot, Republicans very often use comparisons to call people "liberals". They do it every election (remember the "Kerry and Obama are both are the most liberal senators in the senate", and compare them to ultra right conservatives Doing that is a form of lying, in the same way saying any senator is more liberal than a corpse that can have no political opinions. And the issue of censorship is generally not a liberal issue (with rare exceptions). On the other hand, conservative organizations, including the Catholic church (maybe not important individuals, but very important groups) are for censorship. You topic of "social agendas" are buzzwords that detract from the point of this topic (and are false), and we all see right through it. |
