As a general rule; if I pretend not to know something in pun format, it is also just a joke. 3nodding
Again; failure of poe's law tends towards expecting seriousness.
Although when seriousness will arrive, I know not. We concieved it far too long ago now.
A Really Bad Idea

You make it sound like the others would do anything better.

Obama wouldn't arm my state to re-introduce sodomy and miscenegration laws.

It's ******** sad as hell that THAT'S gotta be my criteria, but Ronald Paulson and people like Santorum make it ******** necessary for me to consider it.

All of which Ronald Paulson will empower your locals to do to you.

This is really what it comes down to this election. Republicans want resurrect the Culture Wars. Who in the right mind would let them?

That's just it; a LOT of people would.

For frick's sake, Alabama passed in some areas a pants measurement law. AND MOST PEOPLE ARE HAPPY ABOUT IT!

Yea, this is why I don't trust the locals anymore than the feds.

All the obvious aside....

I just wonder how smart this is. The victims of the Culture Wars in the 90s were the youngest of the GenX cohort. By now they're in their 30s and 40s... and a lot more likely to vote, though not as likely as their Boomer moms and dads.

This is the worst possible time to pull this s**t just as GenX is sliding into middle age, since traumatized people tend to go directly from one extreme to the other.

Even more than Millennials, I wouldn't be surprised if GenX ends up being the demographic that decides this.. this time.

No.

Pro-choice. And I'm totally for LGBT rights.

People have the 'right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness'.

If you can't marry who you want...

******** idiots. I want Obama back for another 4 years. Better than any dumbass Republican. No competition.

I read that people with more education tend to be democrats...!

The culture wars have never stopped. They've been ongoing for as long as time has, and all that happens is you get about a five year lull in them every so often, then they start back up as the next 'wave' of youth approach voting age.

I think you have to agree that the Boomer generation has had a disproportional amount of influence on the culture through practically every aspect of their lives. I'm not sure the "wave" is the younger generations maturing... so much as Boomers reacting to them.

Boomers were born during a time when three or more kids weren't considered a large family. Now, most families don't have that many kids, so my generations influence will probably last a bit longer than typical.
