Well as I stated in a earlier point creativity could potentially hurt your score. However you are right the IQ test is the best thing we have now. However there are certain tests that are better then others. Does the article say what test they used?

Best quote of the article. But all joking aside, the way this data was filtered was done in a way that's debatable in the first place. The correlation that he was apparently trying to make was that a shift away from predicted human evolutionary norms is usually an indicator of higher intelligence (which is something worth study), but used definitions, specifically for liberalism and conservatism, that make this as a political argument useless.

Essentially we're all here trying to use this study as either A) proof that liberals are smarter, or B) proof that liberals are elitist and try to make themselves better than they are. How about we take the politics out of the science, huh?

I'm a liberal atheist, and even I think that's bullshit. People choose those philosophies for themselves; to say they're a reflection on something biological is biased at best. And IQs are outdated, not to mention they have a rather nasty history behind them. The multiple-intelligences test is far more accurate and true to real human intelligence, I think. IQ tests today only measure "logic" anyway; there are other forms of intelligence, like artistic, linguistic, musical, naturalistic, etc.

I disagree. Most people view it as a test of general intelligence but blacks score lower than whites and low-income people lower than well-off ones. Obviously it's a test of education more than anything inherent. I'd say it's worse than nothing if the message is being sent that people with lower IQ scores are actually less intelligent than others if these are the results.

I disregard that because:
a) some people work better at different time, I can't do anything until about 10:00 in the morning (at least not well)
b) people have different skill sets, if I'm really good at math and I take a test that has more reading in it then I'll do worse then if I took a test with more math

Show me proof that schooling has a direct correlation with IQ, followed by proof that Blacks get worse schooling (this will be hard, as you have already discredited all tests and thus can not use them in your argument)

none of those indicate that they are correlating, rather that they are variables. That said, the difference could simply be how many tests they get, and if that stresses them out or not. need a better control

What IQ test are you talking about? Some are really stupid, some are not

All of them yes some are better than others but pretty much all IQ tests have similar questions which usually have to do with organization and rely heavily on math and language arts questions. Which is kind of useful when looking for child with special needs but not so good for classifying adult intelligence.

People who get suspended more should have a lower IQ, from the first article:

As for why blacks are suspended more, I naturally assumed it was because poorer kids get suspended more, and blacks are on average poorer than whites.

All of them yes some are better than others but pretty much all IQ tests have similar questions which usually have to do with organization and rely heavily on math and language arts questions. Which is kind of useful when looking for child with special needs but not so good for classifying adult intelligence.

I have taken dozens and never have had one with anything more advanced than basic logic and math on it
