You're kidding about no other president getting this much grief, right? Bush did, so did Clinton. Both from different networks, obviously. As for the Sherrod case, O'Reilly went off the deep end, but he's a commentator. Fox had a blurb on their web page about it. The following day, they printed the other side of the issue.
But as far as bias? Yeah, FOX is definitely biased, as is every other source of news in the country.

Word? So your telling me that every living moment in both of these presidents lives they were being grilled as badly as Obama is being grilled?

Yup. Bush and Clinton both got hammered regularly. Clinton got hammered for calling in an airstrike while playing golf, Bush got hammered for just breathing half the time. How dare he read a children's book to children!!
Clinton went through months of pure tee hell for getting a b*****b, then that spiraled out of control when the idiot perjured himself over it. Had he simply said, at the start, 'Yeah, I boned the b***h', all would have blown over.
But thinking Obama is the only one that catches grief? Every damn one has been hammered. It comes with the territory. However, when it's 'your president' getting hammered, it tends to appear that they are getting it worse.
Now, if they waffle more than a Waffle House cook? They will be called out on it, just as if they make a wrong decision/move they'll be called out on it.
Obama seems to have an administration that is quite adept at making blunders. But it's not unheard of. It's standard for them to get raked over the coals.

Word? Because they definantly got most of the heat on their 2nd term. Because they have definantly talked about assasinating both Clinton and Bush. There was definantly a huge controversy of either one of them becoming senators, forget even becoming president. When its not your president you definantly see nothing but negatives so its really easy for you to point out. Make another topic about this.

Let's get off the topic of Obama and back on the topic of Fox News. It's much more fun.
33 Fox internal editorial memos reviewed by MMFA reveal FOX News Channels inner workings.

And here's one such memo that was leaked and photocopied.

User Image

And, for the ultimate irony, a segment from Keith Olbermann incited by that photocopy. When you get down to it, this is the sort of thing that really makes your media complete trite. This and the fact that your people are soooooooo stupid that instead of finding news elsewhere they will say "Alright, there's some major biases here, but there are also major biases there. I will make a conscious decision to watch this shitty, biased, horrendous channel because at least I think it's batting for my team and because I'm too much of an imbecile and a sloth to find something actually informative."

The national media isn't an amorphous blob. Just calling it "the media" does it no justice at all. It's a competitive, cutthroat market where powerful corporations must carefully shape their broadcasting to get viewership. Just as in in any market, the American people only get the quality that they expect and demand, and their expectations must be hilariously low given the product that they receive on a daily basis.

Word? I use multiple words. Doesn't contribute. Both caught hell during their entire presidencies, not the second term. They just had enough backing from their constituents to get re-elected.

Want a great example of the hell Bush got during his first term? Fahrenheit 9/11... Slanted, spun, and almost entirely BS sure, but it's a prime example that Bush became a target immediately after he was elected.

Bottom line, people will always call the current president the worst president ever, at the time, we won't know what this presidents legacy will truly be till years after said president is no longer in office.

Will Obama simply go down in history as being the first black president, or will he be remembered for more? You can speculate all you want, but more often than not, history will remember (almost) every president favorably... Exceptions being Nixon, Hoover and Andrew Johnson... Maybe a couple of more.

I hate it when politicians say "What the people want is___" And I also hate these approval rating polls! Untill a nationwide poll has taken place, they dont know what the American people want or think!

I wouldn't say everything on Fox is not reliable, but the news is told with such bias that it really manipulates the way you feel about a situation. Plus every other hour they have some nut job talking about Obama being the anti-christ and leading us to some sort of communist armageddon, and how Obama tries to infuse Muslim symbols into every aspect of the administration. I feel like that really turns it away from being a real news source and being more of a mockery of American intelligence and journalism.

I prefer NPR. Now in a lot of the stories there's a liberal stance but the journalists will openly admit to having changed view points and how the situation differed from what they originally thought was true. Plus when they interview everyday people they don't chop it into tiny out of context segments that are geared towards inciting negative emotion.

And I totally love BBC, as pretentious as that might be to some people. And John Cleese, I love John Cleese when he talks about politics.

Fox news is reliable in the sense that they report news to people. However, the reporting so slanted and selective, plus the fact it's almost impossible to distinguish from the commentators, makes the credibility of their news extremely poor.

That said, MSNBC is just as bad, what with Olbermann, Maddow, and all the other talking heads it has.

CNN seems to have a firm grasp of just reporting the news and trying to minimize the spin it puts on its articles.

Pretty much :/ . A bunch of little kiddies decided to open their eyes to politics after hopping on the Obama-fad and they think politics was nice, loving, happy-fun time for everyone but Obama. You weren't paying attention during the Clinton years or this Bush's first years (although I'll forgive you for not paying attention during the Reagan/Bush Sr. years since you likely didn't exist... blaugh ) and so you have no reference whatsoever for saying Obama is being disproportionately targeted by the media.

Nikki Haley gets called a raghead by her opponenent but the only one that's ever a victim of racism is poor Obama, rite? rofl

CNN is the worst in my opinion. Fox has a lot of BS, but CNN barely even ******** covers politics. Last time I tuned in I got told how to cure bad breath. CNN is fine if you want to watch about disasters and celebs. MSNBC is boring, blatantly biased, and has ugly ******** newscasters. The BBC and websites of newstations are better than actually watching the tv news.
