Welcome to Gaia's forums, where millions of members gather to discuss random stuff, make new friends,
complain about life, argue about nothing, laugh at dumb pictures, discuss serious issues and/or curse like sailors.

Lurking is creepy. Quit skulking in the shadows and join the conversation!

I recommend http://www.alternet.org. A friend told me that it was "one of the few news sources out there not owned by a major corporation".

Names I have gotten: Mem, MME, Mortal, Memento, Meme (my favorite), etc.

Infinite Memory
And I can't call you simply "Jesus" anymore because of Depeche Mode, and by association, Marylin Manson.
thanx for reminding everyone

I think it would be a good idea to include a " How to " guide for people who post a random article in the forum without any sort of introduction to what's to be debated.

Personally, I find this way of starting debates to be bloody annoying :

Quote:

- Link to a news source -

- Quote of the entire article previously linked -

- Discuss... ( However, this vast introduction to a debate seems to not be necessary )

So I guess that including a guide about how to start a thread in the politics subforum would be useful.

Hmm... I will work on that. Good things. I will need advice from a few people as to how to start a good thread, but a good thread starter is definately key to starting an intelligent discussion.

Dyce33 and Partypart,

Your comments have nothing to do with the purpose of this sticky, and may surely violate more than one section of Gaia's ToS. To me, and I guess that many others, it seems perfect that you two decide to insult each other as much as you want; as long as you do it by PM because your actual conversation is just a flamewar, and may get deleted in whatever forum you decide to bless with your presence.

In other words, cut it off and take it to PMs. I am asking a mod to delete your posts in this thread.

Thank you Kurd for Imforming me of the dispute. heart

New Update Kurdesy of an anonymous Spaniard.

*checking to see if anyone's plotting to put the Dunce Cap o' Banishment on him* Thank you for your updates Kurd ^_^. Hopefully people will read, understand, and follow.

Edit: Am I a respectable Politics regular? sweatdrop *skuffs foot on ground*

Patton, you are way too self-conscious.

I can not speak for others, but I respect you as a member of E.D. Politics.

Well, I finally got my post together for the Get to know the E.D. regulars thread xd I would have done it earlier, but I had trouble with gaia domokun

Updated to include the V.b Guilt by Association.

What do you guys think about the Ed politics regulars [reffering to the members of the guild that goes by the same name] running a mentoring program in this subforum?

Hanging out together and easing tensions amongst a few regulars is cool, but doing the same for the rest of people could actually be effective; that's what I think.

Any thoughts on this?

The only problem is that if a single mod deems that as unworthy of ED, we all get screwed. So we should definately ask permission from all the mods who come through here before trying something like that.

I'm down, though.
