Incorrect. Sere Mudou is a conservative moderator and there are many respected members of this forum who are conservative. I can make a list for you if you like. I myself happen to be a moderate with conservative tendencies, and I believe myself to be a respected member of this forum. You, too can be a respected member of ED Politics if you follow the guidelines posted. Or on the other hand, you can ignore this and make unsubstantiated claims about a liberal conspiracy, and be written off as a crazy.

1. automatically false, on account of Sere's political alignment, and
2. unsupportable and disingenuous, on account that political alignment of mods and presentation of personal opinion is not inherently tied into the function of moderating.

Boo-frikkity-hoo. I never said there was a conspiracy. Just that the mods only give power to those they agree with. That's not a conspiracy, it's just favoritism. You, in particular, have absolutely no traits that would make you a good moderator. I have never seen you act in a way that I would equate with good moderatorship, and yet poof, there y'go, you are one.
Again, not a conspiracy, just favoritism and poor forum management.

Who is this Sere? Are they a mod of the political forum, or just Gaia in general? Why don't I see them posting here, while just in picking several random threads I've seen the liberal mods posting rather frequently?

Never said it was. However, it reveals a certain mindset of those in charge. It would be as if the supreme court were made up entirely of rich old white Christian males. While that doesn't mean they wouldn't be fair, it's showing a definite bias in the ones that put them there.
I said I was done with the Gaia forums when you were made a mod for no good reason, Ilpallaza, and that hasn't changed. Sure, I'll post here and there, but frankly, I feel no need to try and live up to your standards or the standards of anyone else. I'll laugh in your face if you come to the threads and try to debate me, all the while maintaining only a level you yourself use, or at least better than the people running around shouting "OMG bush suks no blud 4 oil!".
Thus, if you were to ban me, or one of the others does, you'd be revealing yourself as a hypocrite. And if you don't, I get to annoy you by flaunting my lack of respect for your viewpoints. I win either way, so it's all good.
Gaia politics forum is about as likely to produce intelligent, civil discussion of politics as discussing the trade deficit with two-year-olds, and I see no reason to bother buying the preschool class a Wall Street Journal.
