According to the CO at Fort Hood, all the deaths took place at the soldier readiness center in the fort, where soldiers receive final medical check-ups and treatments before deployment. It seems unlikely that this is related to a visiting congressman.

Agreed. And it sounds, due to the name of the shooter, that this may be a pre-launch strike. I want some more info on the other shitbags involved.

This is a phenomenal accuracy rate under fire. Especially for hand guns.

I think it's a bit early for the conspiracy questions. We don't even have a clear idea as to his motivations, where these people were shot, whether he burst in shooting or walked in calmly, etc.

There's a lot of surface information we don't know. I expect we'll have to wait a bit before we can really dig into the details.

As stated previously by another poster, if this was a WalMart or mall? I'd accept that. This is a military installation with trained personnel every time you turn around and blink. If he was in an area heavy with civvies, I'd see no reason not to accept it.
But this is just odd with what I am hearing right now.
I suspect at least one other shooter, and with a long gun.
