Welcome to Gaia! ::

Linky Linky

Finally, the first day where we get double the caucus coverage (not counting Missouri)!

So, who's gonna take Minnesota and Colorado? Will Romney win 'em both, or will "campaign-on-life-support-Santorum" get Minnesota? Or will Ron Paul, who somehow is second in the national polls, actually win a state this time?

As the Zen Master says, "We'll see."
Minnesota is looking bad for Mittens. :/

Edit: And MO is 2:1 votes for Santorum.

Isn't MO non-binding and just a popularity contest?

And Danm it, Santorum coming out strong in Minnesota and maybe CO will convince him to stay in the race. Hopefully the rust belt will not vote for him.
I like how Ron Paul gets constantly dismissed in the media, even though he has almost as many delegates as Gingrich Santorum at this point.

Edit: Okay, apparently it's a little early to count current primary delegates.
I wonder if Santorum will learn that this isn't a limbo contest? you don't win by going lower than everyone else.

Looks like this nomination process just got a lot longer...

That one wasn't expected. That said; it is perhaps notable in CO that only 2% of voters participated.

Now be fair; being politically prettier than Santorum or Gringrich isn't hard. It's not that surprising.

I just dislike the guy, the fact he's making gays his major key issue annoys the living crap out of me. I'm just waiting for a skeleton of his to come out and ruin him politically.
Maybe my dream of a brokered convention will come true!
Come on Ron Paul, help the cause by winning a few states.

If santorum becomes president, I am looking for a roomie to go halvsies on an apartment in BC...because while it may be a slippery slope, he's the kind of person who would criminalize homosexuality, and enforce it nationwide.
Santorum would be the worst possible president. He's pro-life + Anti-privacy rights, anti-climate change, Anti-Iranian Warhawk, anti-immigration amnesty, and anti-homosexuality.

Now the positions themselves aren't so "bad" given they are pretty standard for the republican party, except his platform actually revolves around these issues, which would mean his presidential policy won't be things like fixing the recession and pretend gay people don't exist, it would be to find and hang all the gay people and make a state sponsored religion.
Maybe it will take nominating a theocon for the GOP to realize how unpopular some of their platform is.

A general election of Santorum versus Obama would probably see to that and Mr. Romney isn't doing much to keep that from happening what with him unable to drum up support unless he spends a lot of money there beforehand.
