Normally, i think, a law like this wouldn't be a big deal. However, with the rise of the internet and anonymous, I believe people are more concerned about preserving their anonymity. When anonymous go out and protest, they wear guy fawkes masks as a show of solidarity and because it's a fundamental belief of anonymous that faces, race, gender etc all do not matter. We're all part of the human race and are therefore all anonymous. By banning the wearing of masks, it severely hinders the message that is sent out by anonymous when they protest IRL.
Good, considering their message.
And a belief that race, gender don't matter? *SNORT* Yeaaaa, sure, that totally explains their bashing of "niggers" and "cumdumpsters" on a daily basis, donnit?
Hell, look at Cameron here; he's a class A bigot who thinks I need to be put to death for my sexuality.
Anonymous, IMO, has changed in recent months with regards to their image. Yes I won't deny that they originated from 4chan and were basically the "scum" of the internet. But lately I find that they've been fighting more and more for people's rights and stuff which is something that I actually do agree with and admire considering our own politicians are working towards taking those rights away from us. We need a banner to fight as one under and if it's anonymous then so be it.
If anyone refuses to show their face, I don't want to hear what they have to say and I damn well don't want them thinking they are 'fighting for me'.
Nor do I want a nameless group of shitbags that has a penchant for hate, as well as attacking companies that really have absolutely nothing to do with some problems. They're worthless and I hope they all get at least six months of a** stretching in prison at some time in their life.
Don't forget that dickhead stunt they pulled on the Oakland police, releasing personal information about them and their families (whom even if you had a problem with the cops, what the hell did their families have to do with anything?).

******** that s**t. They're fine with protecting the rights of people who happen to agree with them, but should you express a position they don't like? We'll bring down your websites and steal your credit card information or spread your family's addresses and other personal information out to the public. Sometimes they go after douchebags, yes, but that doesn't preclude them from being douchebags themselves.
If you really can't see the stupidity in throwing your support behind a group of assholes just cause they currently happen to be targeting another group of assholes, just look at the last... oh, 50 years of US foreign policy. Maybe ask Afghanistan how they're enjoying the Taliban. And because I'm sure it's coming, no I'm not saying anonymous is as bad as the Taliban, just an example of where that kind of "enemy of my enemy" thinking leads.
