Im a timocrat.

Under what definition? Do you believe that honor should be a ruling principle of government or that only land-owning property should be involved in politics? [1] Or, perhaps, a third concept I am unaware of? The idea of reputation and respect being an important aspect in politics is already applicable to our constitutional republican system. Candidates that makes large waves in their community and in the country as a whole are more likely to be successful politically than a dark horse candidate. In that regard, though, it seems irrelevant to what political party you best identify with and which one you find yourself voting for more, subsequently. Political disenfranchisement of the homeless to vote in elections does not seem to be relevant to which political party you most identify with either, in much the same way that your belief that the electoral college should be replaced by a direct democracy is irrelevant to your beliefs in regards to your position on Keynesian economics as compared to supply-side or laissez-faire economics. Of course, all of this is rendered pointless if you do not subscribe to either of these definitions of timocracy.
