I just don't understand why people think background checks and similar measures are "OMG DISARMING THE PEOPLE" and will inevitably lead to "OBAMA HITLER NEW WORLD ORDER TYRANNICAL POLICE STATE".

Furthermore, if you already have guns, or can acquire them, why are you worried about people coming to actually take your guns? You have guns. Use them for what 2nd Amendment intended. Shoot them.

I really doubt a 14 yr old had the intellectual capacity to research or look up that many gun occurrences.
