Ash wouldn't be so bad of a character if they actually let him grow up, but they seem intent on keeping him a little boy for the next twenty years. It was fine the first couple of seasons, now it's just ridiculous. Someone earlier in the thread made a comment about how the show isn't for the people who've been watching the show since season one, but why shouldn't it be? If they can keep this going for newer generations, why not make a new show basically based off the old one but like ten years in the future? A new protagonist, a new villian and we can finally see what happened to Ash after he grew up. It seems like there are enough of the older fans to make this a good idea. It'd be a more adult show, kind of like how they made Brotherhood after FMA was finished.

He doesn't have to catch every single legendary that he meets along the way. As for the thing about his companions, he's not gay at all. He did become attracted to a photo of Giselle in that episode about that private school.

Ash can't even get Legionaries. This isn't Fallout: New Vegas. There is no NCR, or Caesar's legion(in which the Legionaries are from, excluding ancient Rome). Now, if you meant Legendary, that'd be acceptable.

We all know, when Ash was born, he was destined to become the greatest Pokemon Trainer but Professor Oak disapproved of this. He wanted his grandson to become the greatest Pokemon Trainer.
He found aliens and forced them to remove Ash's brain and replace it with an electrical brain where, every time he enters a new region, his memories are wiped out.
And the Pikachu Professor Oak gave him also had an electrical brain so that it would start at level 1 at every region.
