Welcome to The Celestial Pokemon League, traveler!
Are you ready to take the challenge of a lifetime and face some of the fiercest leaders in Pokemon?
If so, you are in the right place!
Here at The Celestial Pokemon League, we battle, but with a slight twist....
We use our gym type... But we have 1 wildcard Pokemon in our lineup.
Who knows what kind of Pokemon we might have.
You only need to beat 9 out of 18 of the Gym Leader's in order to
move onto the Elite 4 and then the Champion. Your main goal
is to beat the Elite 4 and the champion to go into the Hall of Fame.

Feel free to just come on and hang out, bump the thread,
do whatever you like as long as it isn't against TOS.
We all enjoy the company and new people coming in to chat with us,
so everyone is super welcome to come and have some fun!
Also, feel free to ask about casual battles! It's not all competitive here.

This is Tigress_Luna
She is an Admin for the page, our Events Coordinator, and she will be handling the prizes for the events on the thread. She can also do updates if you ask her nicely. Also the Fire-type Gym Leader.

This is Sanjuras. He is an Admin of the page.
He updates the first page, and the win/loss records for Gym Leaders.
He also tries people out and delegates testing for Gym trials.

Thread Rules

- Make sure you are following Gaia's TOS which can be found here: TOS.
- Feel free to battle anyone here.
- Anything that has to do with Pokemon is fine (Trading requests, breeding requests, items, etc).
- If you want to be affiliates, please PM 'The Celestial League Mule'.
- If you want to challenge a leader and they aren't online,
you can tag them in a post or write them a PM, but please don't spam them.
And if their gym states that it is currently closed, come back later to check.
- If there's any kind of problem, please contact the Mule.
- Don't start drama.
We will remove you for it.





Battling Rules

- We do not RP here, everything is over the WiFi on your DS.
- You will be disqualified/banned from this thread if you D/C during your match.
- Gyms have their own play style, so be sure to check the Gym before challenging.
- Feel free to challenge any Gym leader.
- You are welcome to challenge a leader again if you have lost against them.
- You must wait three days to re-challenge a Gym Leader or Elite Four member.
- If you ask for a re-match the leader may switch in other team members of their type to fight you.
- Make sure that when you battle a gym leader, they know that it is a GYM battle.
Otherwise they may use their normal teams and it will not count for the badge.
- We play (Lvl 50) Pokemon Battling Rules - this applies to both leaders AND challengers.
If you don't know what that is then I will list the details below:

Baton Pass Clause
Only two pokes per team can know Baton Pass.
Evasion Clause
Moves that boost evasion (i.e. Double Team, Minimize, and Acupressure) are not allowed.
Sleep Clause
You may not put two of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep. This includes Dark Void in Doubles.
OHKO Clause
One-Hit KO moves are not allowed. (I.E. Fissure, Horn Drill, Guillotine, and Sheer Cold)
Dupe Clause
No more than 1 of the same Pokemon per team.
Self KO Clause
If both players have only one Pokémon left, moves which KO both the user and the opponent are not allowed (e.g. Explosion, Destiny Bond).
If recoil damage would cause a tie, Self KO Clause does not activate, and the player who last attacked is the winner. Only one Poke per team may know a Self-KO move. That includes Healing Wish and Memento.
Hax Item Clause
Items that rely solely on luck are not permitted.
(These include: Focus Band, Quick Claw, Brightpowder, Lax Incense, Scope Lens, Kings Rock, Lucky Punch, Razor Claw, Razor Fang, and Stick.)
Leftovers Clause
Leftovers are limited to two per team.
Endless Battle Clause
Any moveset on any Pokémon that is capable of intentionally causing an endless battle is banned from competitive play.
These include:
A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse and Milk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off, Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Pain Split on its moveset.
A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry and carry Recycle and Fling on its moveset.

The following Pokemon are banned due to having what is considered 'Uber' stats:
Aegislash, Arceus, Blaziken (HA), Darkrai, Deoxys (all forms), Dialga, Genesect, Giratina (Both), Gliscor (with Toxic and Protext), Greninja (HA), Groudon, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Kyurem-W, Lugia, Manaphy, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Xerneas, Yvletal, Zekrom.

Please read each leader's gym battle rules because we have a
rule where a leader and challenger can both have 1 uber each
if the leader is okay with this and have it marked in their battle rules.

The ability Moody is banned

The move Swagger is banned

The items Soul Dew, Gengarite, Mawilite, Salamencite, and Kangaskanite are banned.

Mega Lucario is still being tested.





Gym Rules
This only applies to you if you're part of the League or thinking of joining:

- Your gym team must be all mono-type that you are trying for with the exception of your 1 wildcard.

As this causes confusion to some, "Mono-type" only means your desired gym type (excluding wildcard). Duel type Pokemon are allowed on your team, as long as one of those typings is your gym type.

- If you want to try out for a spot that isn't taken, please fill out the form below and send it to the mule.
- Anyone applying needs to battle the leader appointed to you. They will NOT be using their gym team, but the challenger will.
- You can use any Pokemon of your type, switch it into your team at any time, etc.
- Gym leaders are NOT allowed to forfeit matches.
- If you are going to be away for more than 5 days, please let us know.
- If you disappear for extended periods of time, we might give away your spot.
- Gym leaders are allowed to challenge each other and try to collect the badges.

Those wanting to move from Gym Leader to E4 must speak with a tester (Sanjuras for now.) to be advanced you have to beat him with your gym team and a regular singles match in one sitting.

If you wish to represent Double, Triple, and Rotation battles, you need to beat them in those as well, but not at the time of your application.

Shiny Giveaway

Hey gang, Magnus DeWinter won our last competition, so in honor of his victory a new contest is going on. The first person to log in, challenge Sanjuras to a 6v6 battle, and win, will be given a random Shiny Pokémon from his collection. The prize will change each day, but only one can be won per day. Rules
