You can choose what Type you want to specialize in, but if for example, you want to be a rock type leader and randomly have a Kecleon in your team. Thats fine, as long as it knows a rock type move. Long story short, I don't care if you have a different type in your team other than the type that you specialize in.

If you want to be a battle brain, you have to battle me first. Again, this isn't available until people sign up for the Gyms and E4 but if you want to go ahead and fill out a form, I'll be happy to look it over and consider you to be a Battle Brain.
Now, being a battle brain is special. You can have a mixed team and you make up your own rules. Consider it like the battle frontier. Like if you want all cat pokemon or snake like pokemon, thats totally fine by me ^^
BTW: If you want to be a battle brain, you'll need to come up with a title for yourself! (i.e: Salon Maiden Anabel)
