Opinion question: When battling gym leaders, do you prefer to be very over leveled(Where your about 5 or more level above the leader's strongest), slightly over-leveled(About 2 or more above), On-level(the same range as the leader's level from their weakest pokemon to strongest), or below-level( So it seems like the battle is really challenging.)

With the same scale as above, what preference do you, well, prefer, when battling rivals,E4, Champion,And even just regular trainers?

Well, A.I. can only go so far.
Below-Level depends on the typing, your skill and experience I suppose.
I've always liked champion battles... except for Alder... that battle was kind of a waste to be called a champion battle. :/

Yeah the PM problem comes from the fact that the app doesn't recognize certain characters and breaks quote coding. If you delete all the quotes each reply and just send a clean pm it'll work, but it's really annoying. I don't like the app at all either, but it's still a lot easier than trying to use the full site, so it's like a lesser of evils.

As do I. I'm not one to understand why Gym Leaders are/would be there if they're not to be challenging right?
However...whenever I first play a pokemon game I always seem to be a higher level than gym leaders. This always frustrates me sweatdrop
