Out of all the Pokemon Games I've played, it seems both the Male, and Female Trainer you choose from at the start of the Game have actual Names in the Anime series of the Games.

Examples:

Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald

Female Character: May

Male Character: Brendan

Diamond/Pearl/Platinum

Female Character: Dawn

Male Character: Lucas

HeartGold/SoulSilver

Female Character: Lyra

Male Character: Ethan

So, My question is:
Does anyone know if the Male and Female Characters from the Black & White Versions Have pre-set Names, and if Yes, What those Names might be?

NOTE: I know you can choose the name for your Male/Female Character when you start the game, But I'm just curious as to weather or not they have pre-Set Names for the Anime Series?

Timid Generator

Their names are Hilda and Hilbert. Kind of weak compared to the others in my opinion.

The English Names(Hilbert, & Hilda) sound lame, but the Japanese Names(Touya & Touko) sound better.

That's how my friend reacted too.

We were at Gamestop and she's like "Janine! Look! Pokemon Black!"

She flipped it over and saw the heroes and I'm like, "Oh! that's Hilda and Hilbert."
She gave me this "WTF" face.

Hilda sounds like some old German lady. Not like a girl that's in her teens.

lol that's funny! I was actually hoping the English Names would been different for both Boy, and Girl Characters, but they both sound the same(Have the same pronunciation in their names) which would probably almost get people asking:

Okay, which is Hilbert, and which is Hilda?

Answer: Isn't it obvious!? rolleyes listen carefully to the names and you can tell which is a Boy's Name, and Which is a Girl's Name! lol rolleyes

I think the chick was also called 'Whitlea' and 'Shiro' for a while.

Idk about the guy.

I just either call them Hilda/Hilbert or White/Black.
or if I'm talking to someone who refuses to use the English names, Touko/Touya

Now Whitlea sounds more appropriate for a Teenage Girl Character 3nodding

it's just Hilbert, and Hilda sound more like Old People Names.
Plus, when I bought the Ruby version Pokemon Game, The Trainer Name used in that game was:
Boy character, Name: Brendan(NOTE: the Game was a Used Game)

So, since the Ruby version had the Boy Character, and was given his Actual given Name, I Chose to Select the Girl for my Sapphire Version, and Name her "May".(her actual Given Name)

However, I chose MY actual Name in my Emerald Version, and chose the Boy Character.

an old german lady with her face stuck on mi gusta time

Peaceful Lunatic

Both names have the meaning of 'battle' or 'warrior'. They sound European/Germanic to me. Maybe Norse (or maybe I'm thinking Brunhilda). Whitlea sounds like the name that a parent who was trying to hard to get a unique name would come up with.

I like them.
