I'd kinda prefer to know who gifted me something if I were to get a gift.... d: that way I'd have a friend, too.

Totally know what you mean! The anonymity makes it fun while you're gifting, but when you're receiving gifts there's just this strong urgency to know who was so kind to you! And then, y'know, hopefully get to know the person afterward! :O

aha, but what if the stranger was one that you already know, and they just want to remain a shadow until they felt otherwise?

Hee, I suppose that's their right! A bit of fun as a reward for their generosity! And it would definitely be fun to watch your friend try and figure out who the ~mystery giver while, unbeknownst to them, it was you all along. >:3
