ViSual HeART
I was going to say it looks fine with lines, but then I saw the one without, and I really prefer that one. The blending is smoother and it's softer overall. This is not to say you shouldn't still use ink. Experiment with it. You should always try other mediums and combinations. I find ink looks good with watercolor or watercolor pencils. Just a suggestion.
I'm gonna agree with Visual HeART here. (Btw, awesome name lol)
I enjoy them both, but I do agree that one with out the lines looks better over all. I do urge you to experiment with how you lay the color on the paper. You have a very soft, gradating style to it , but if you use the same kind of 'texture' the image starts to feel a little 2-D. Try playing around with cross-hatching, stippling, and also try coloring in the "direction" of the object.
I posted an image as well, to kinda show what I mean about direction, but Im using an old laptop with touchpad atm so it was hard to control my lines. I think the concept is still a bit clearer though with the image.
Over all though, good stuf---anime-esque but that's fine. Looks clean and anime-anatomically correct.
