Here is a portrait of a lovely OC of mine, Queen Althea.


I used ink lines for this one as well as colored pencil, but I was wondering if my drawings looked better with or without the lines.

Here is one without:

Waaaaaaaaayyyy better without the ink lines.

I love the second one.

I was going to say it looks fine with lines, but then I saw the one without, and I really prefer that one. The blending is smoother and it's softer overall. This is not to say you shouldn't still use ink. Experiment with it. You should always try other mediums and combinations. I find ink looks good with watercolor or watercolor pencils. Just a suggestion.

Without lines. But in the one with lines, I feel like the blend in pretty well to where you don't even notice them.
