Okay, since you're so insistent on being unoriginal, then I'm sorry to say that the picture is also really, really dull and bad? Sorry dude.

I have read all of your posts in this thread and find that you're being extremely rude. He gave you the tutorials were he learned how to create everything for this wallpaper. They don't look EXACTLY the same but very similar. He was obviously taking these tutorials, doing what was told of him in them; since that's what a tutorial was made for. He now understands how to make these and is obviously improving his skills. I don't think because he followed a tutorial to be completely unoriginal- I call it learning. Now how about you shut the ******** up if you don't have any critique for this piece.

On subject;
I really enjoy this piece. I feel like the moon's craters need to be a bit darker and defined better. The ripples in the water seem very awkward and randomly placed move outward from the first ripple like you would see in real life.
Keep up the work!

Durp durp durp

I gave my honest opinion. I call following a tutorial step for step and creating nothing of your own unoriginal. How about you whine to someone else how I'm being soooo rude.
Truly these are the mountains upon which the titans of art hold court. i am humbled deeply by the great banquet of aesthetic accomplishment laid before my eyes. i am not worthy to post here and am grateful forever for your tolerance in allowing me this honor.
The wuffies are not sparkly enough
Oh hey I went ahead and made this awesome image that is totally original too!

Awwww than you so very much! And yes i was trying to get the moon craters to show up but i was having a very hard time with as well as the water ripples.

I would use the burn tool to bring out the craters more.
As for the ripples... http://haydenm.deviantart.com/art/Hayden-s-PS-Water-Tutorial-37701009
try that! it seems to be a legit tutorial.

THANK YOU!!!

@Sxuois Thank you very much too ^_^

I worked really hard for that piece and wanted to share it with you.
Wow SilverFang Mooncrest, look at all the amazing artwork in this thread.
It's all inspired by YOU!
LOL.
this thread is magnificent.
Wow. Maturity level in this thread has gone down the drain, hasn't it?

Jesus Christ. You guys really aren't that helpful at all. At least Opalescenses explained it nicely and tried to help.

Yes, it is unoriginal, but is that not how budding artists learn? By doing what they are taught? Is there any need to continuously shoot down this kid just because you know you can do better?

Rather, it is more beneficial to all parties involved to simply explain in a civil way.

SilverFang, though your manipulation may have had 'random effects', it is not original because it uses photos and tutorials that are not your own.
While these are good tools to use to help yourself learn, the rules of the Picture Post state that works created by use of eyeballing, tutorials, and other things to help newer artists learn things are to be posted in the 'Works in progress' forum.

And, frankly, the people are less cynical and rude there.
It's really not about this fact:

It's more that he won't accept this one:

you have got alot of skill that's amazing and i love wolfs and moons
@SilverFang: I'm sorry, but anyone who has spent a considerable amount of time with Photoshop can see that "original" is NOT what your piece is.
I can clearly see you've used the stock brush for your grass. Every version of Photoshop, 7 and up comes with that brush.

Also, your moon is badly cropped. I can see dark band of anti-aliased cropping around it.

Not only that, your composition is very boring and uncomplimentary to the elements in the piece.
