Welcome to Gaia! ::

My significant other and I met playing World of Warcraft. About three years (and one cross-country train ride) later, we're living together and engaged.

Considering that (a) we still play this together all the time and (b) irl couple pics have always kinda wierded me out, I drew this as a Valentine's present. But is it too nerdy? Is it too much of a stretch for a romantic present?

I'd really like some opinions, if it's not too much to ask. Not so much on the technical aspects of the picture, but more on the overall feel. If I'm going to need to do a whole new picture, I don't have much time to work.

(due to large size, some of the edge will be cut off, but you can see the important part anyways.)

Never been hugely into world of warcraft myself, although my boyfriend loves it. I think the picture itself is really cute, well drawn and since that's how the two of you met, I think it's really sweet. I'd go for it ^^

Ah, it's definitely a reassurance to hear that from someone who doesn't really play. I just don't want to screw this up, since Luna's usually the one who does the sweet things for me for holidays... I'm not very good at this sort of thing >.<

This is a slow moving forum so please don't bump unless it goes off the 1st page.

I agree with the first poster. It's a cute present smile

I think it'll make a great gift, actually. Personalized ones like that, which carry more significance than general ones like flowers/candy, are special. I'm sure Luna will love it. I know little to nothing about WoW, but I'd be touched if the person I was engaged to made art about how the two of us met. It's lovely.

Met playing WoW and giving WoW fanart as a V-day gift too nerdy? Gimme your nerd card.

Joking aside, I think it's a great idea to give. <3 Taller Half and I play, as well, and if I could draw people worth a damn/our mains' species actually matched (currently his is a Goblin 'lock and mine's a Tauren druid), I'd do it for him, too.

A stretch would be trying to make the Horde symbol vaguely heart-shaped. xD
