Okay, now your art isn't as horrible as some other s**t I've seen today, but I have to say, your style isn't the most original. Your anatomy is lacking, which is a failing point for many artists. I've said this a million times today, but it looks like you studied someone else's style for your knowledge of anatomy, which, instead of making an accurate figure, caused you to create a distortion of a distortion of correct anatomy. That's not good. It doesn't make your art memorable.
Also, studying anatomy from life can improve your art so much. You want to create a "sexy" torso, learn which muscles create the smooth contours of a torso. I personally see how lacking your full-body poses are. Instead of continuing to draw torso or bust shots, drawing full figures rather than avoiding them can help you improve your weakness.
A final note, get your own originality.
Well, I'll take the first little bit as a compliment, I suppose.
Yes, I know it's not original. It's anime-ish. I can't speak for everyone else, but I can't imagine someone actually sitting down and somehow convincing themselves drawing in an anime style is original. Did I look as if I was aiming for originality here?
Secondly, Yes, my anatomy has issues. However, I don't sit there looking at drawings to learn how to do the human figure, I'm not stupid, thank you. I DO draw people life and waste my time doing figure drawings when there's nothing else to do.
Admittingly, I DO have a lot to learn as far as muscle builds go. Being a bit of a lover of the "thin and girly" type of men, and mostly drawing them as such, has probably crippled my growth to an extent, I can't deny that.
Lastly, I don't really believe in originality.
If you think you're the first to do it, say it, create it, wear it, love it... Many others have gotten to it before you.
Would you rather I draw in a more western or marvel style to appease you? 'cause heaven knows that's just as original (in all seriousness, I constantly hear people rag on anime-style art for it's unoriginality, yet if you do something in a more typical western style I don't see that kind of commentry?).
With that, I'll draw in a way that makes ME happy, as I draw for myself, not to please the masses.
Despite how short I may sound, it was nice to hear/read an ACTUAL comment outside of "<3" or something. It makes me feel like you're actually looking at what's being done, yanno?
Thanks.
