Color preferences: You can color her however you'd like, I suppose, but my plan for her is red hair, dark green dress, black boots, pale skin, and blue-green eyes.

I like how you've colored it so far, good for your first time. Though, through my very little experience, I've learned that it's best (for me, anyway) to do all your colors first before doing any shading/adjustments. But if coloring then shading each section at a time works for you, then by all means, keep it up. =)
