Here's the PPG pic I'm working on... You'll have to excuse the unfinished-ness. Just wanted to show you guys my progress thus far...

Aww... Photoshop is a good place to start. I mean, it's where I started and it has seemed to work for me so far. When it comes to coloring, though, I prefer OpenCanvas (which is the program I used to color the PPG pic). I really like the watercolor tool in OC, and it blends really well to make liquid smooth colors. As far as the background, until recently I would work with a white background and color in multiple layers. Then I found someone who used a grayed down purple as their bg, and I gave it a try. I've used it ever since. It blends the colors much more smoothly. The other wierd thing is that I do it all on one layer. If there's a better way to do this, I haven't figured it out. But yeah, so that's my coloring stuff! 3nodding

I really need to improve my coloring skills (they suck), so what better way then to do this. oo such cool lookin colors for my sketch maragdus and tulokyn eek and yeah i know doing those heart is a pain, especially in painter. and i can't wait to see the other finished ^_^

Christopher- Hey, thanks for the compliment!! 3nodding Honestly, though, I think a lot of successful coloring comes from the pencils, and s2k's pencils are tight as hell for that PPG drawing. Honestly, I was a PPG fan before, but they look awesome in that pic. XD
As for OpenCanvas, if you PM me I can find some way of sending you a copy. Unless of course you find some other way before you get a chance to read this message. Anyway, send me a PM if you are still interested. |
