Amy Winehouse
I love the robots as they are now. I think doing anything more to them would clutter the image.
The hand lowest on the sword looks like it could use a bit more definition, and the shoes look a bit wonky, but overall this piece is great. I'd expect to see it on like, a card for a TCG.
As for background, I see him as being in outer space or something. Maybe in a space station, or to be more cartoony, standing on a planet?
No more work on the robots?
Fine with me!
I see what you mean about his hand, there. The shoes, I'm gonna see if I can add a little detail to them to them to make them pop a little, even if it's something as little as shoelaces. They're a little
too reduced, as they are now.
Your space-station idea sounds like a fun challenge! I haven't done many sci-fi setting backgrounds, but the idea of a big perspective-shot seems like it would fit. I'd probably have to add even more robots, though.
sweatdrop Maybe something that looks like a sci-fi planetscape? We'll see.
Thanks very much for your input!
the Pharmacist
Heee, I love his eyebrows n_n very cute, and action-y. The energy sword is prettty kickin too!
I agree with Amy that the lower hand could use some further definition, and if the right leg was facing the viewer more I think it would look more dynamic.
I think you should make the background suggest a lot of motion, or use bright eye catching colors

Well, that's another vote for more right-hand definition. I'll definitely take a few swipes at that area! The foot, though, I'm gonna have to leave in the same position. I think it's mostly because of my time on the college fencing club, where my maestro would whip me with a foil if my leading foot didn't point directly at my opponent!

Chocobo Princess
Scary evil robots definitely look EEVIIL! They remind me of a cross between an evil Cactrot and Aku (from Samurai Jack; I hope you have seen that; otherwise, you may not know what I'm talking about. sweatdrop ). I'm glad they are being destroyed by the hot-blood-and-courage-weilding champion. 3nodding blaugh Heh heh, their head-thingies and burny face-colors are kinda reminiscent of Aku, aren't that? Oh, that's good! The Cactrot thing... well, I'd actually consider making the robots green, except the energy sword is already green. Maybe I'll play around with a sort of pale grayish sickly green for them?
Anyway, glad you like my hotblood little guy. I thought of another character people might mistake him for, though: Laharl from Disgaea. He's got the blue hair and the scarf/cape and big pants. Oh well.
