I love the robots <3 Theirs innards are flying!

And for some reason, The little guy makes me thing of Laharl from Disgaea...o3o

I'm definitely not a fan of the flat pan robots... I certainly hope that you plan to give them shape and bulk once you decide on a color to do them in.

For a suggestion on the color of the robots. I would go with a dingy pewter metal color. Gun grey or something dark and metallic. Perhaps with dark maroon logos and vibrant green/blue leds and such? Hmm, not sure really.

And the guy.. I love his horns. Right along with almost everyone else in this thread so far.
I love the way you color the energy swords blade. It definitely gives it that 'not solid, but kicking your a** always' look. I would just suggest just working on the slight halo around the characters. Especially around the robots. It's a bit distracting.

Yay! Flying innards! Yeah, he also kinda looks like Kamina from Gurren Lagann. It's not intentional.

Cool! I actually thought the same thing, except kind-of the opposite: These things remind me of Space Invaders, except with burning faces. I thought it would be interesting if they were these weird machines that are trans-dimentional and only show up in 2 dimensions unless you break them, then the pieces fly out.

Yeah. . . I haven't decided what those robots should look like yet. I'm kinda thinking they might have "magic bending metal" like Mega Man or those giant robots like Mazinger. Glad you like it, anyway!
