What was the bonded pair like? =)

Thank you! I loved the Lion King as a kid and the name Nala just stuck.. =)
And I know right?! She's as big as my former rabbit (a new zealand white) and she was like 6-8 lb... lol!

and what do you mean, rearrange their living space?

the male in the bonded pair was very bossy, he would dig at you if you were in his way, he was very protective of his other half. she was apparently really shy and hated to be held but she really took to my husband. she was all over him and everyone seemed a little impressed by it but the male seemed more aggressive then what i wanted you know? my husband wanted the bonded the pair and i didn't mind adopting them to an extent...but for some reason i was worried about watson. i was worried he wouldn't get a good home and be loved like i thought he deserved. even though he didn't seem interested in us he was more focused on eating during the time we had with him, i knew if we left with another rabbit the moment we got into the car i would've broken down and wanted to take him home too.

watson has this need to move things in his x-pen to suite his needs. he moved a bed next to his cottontail cottage so when he jumps out he lands on it. he also moved his food bowl near it so he can sit in his bed and eat. it cracks me up every time i see him jump onto his bed.
he will also rearrange stuff outside the x-pen when we let him out.

I totally know how you feel =) I wanted this one bunny but he lunged at me and so I didn't get him. And aww =) Yeah- I was going to adopt this other rabbit as well and she got adopted before I could adopt her.. it sucked because we were all ready to get her, But if that hadn't have happened, I wouldn't have Solara. =) Even though she's mean to me sometimes I love her XD

And lol! My rabbits throw things around and knock them over XD But not much more than that XD

And I KNOW RIGHT!? It's so crazy how big she is. These people on this rabbit forum I go on are pissing me off, because I asked them if they thought she was a Flemish Giant (there's no way she's not) and they're all like "she would be bigger like 7 lb" cause i had underestimated her weight. =/ and ugh they're just bugging me about it!!! and lol! XD i was gunna name her after Kiara but I dun wanna jinx her and turn her into a troublemaker XD

he was! i normally love that personality in cat for some reason but with a rabbit not so much. watson is actually my 3rd rabbit, but the other two weren't around long enough to really remember.

Yeah, it seems odd with a rabbit XD And aww =( I have had rabbits but only wild ones that we were rehabilitating =) (my dad is a landscaper so he accidentally killed their moms =( ) So these were my first REAL DOMESTICATED rabbits XD
and yes I do =) Well Solara is actually a really nice rabbit.. on her terms. Like she's USUALLY a megabitch, but like, sometimes, she will cuddle with me and lie with me for like an hour, tooth purr-borderline lick me.. stuff like that. It's super cute. I miss when before I bonded her to Sabriel, when she would lick me a lot and beg me for pets =(

Speaking of Sabriel, now that he's out of his cast and cone, he's becoming really fat. LOL.

And I know right? I love some people on the rabbit forum and I like going on there but sometimes the people on there can be really rude/mean =/ I'm like WTF! I wonder sometimes if they even realize it XD And well thank you 8D I do too. She's way too big at this young age to not be.. XD Haha.

Yeah, it seems odd with a rabbit XD And aww =( I have had rabbits but only wild ones that we were rehabilitating =) (my dad is a landscaper so he accidentally killed their moms =( ) So these were my first REAL DOMESTICATED rabbits XD
and yes I do =) Well Solara is actually a really nice rabbit.. on her terms. oh no~what happen to Sabriel? D:


i think a lot of people online are knowingly rude/mean. the reason i say that is because it's like hiding behind a mask no knows you or can't do anything back. which makes it "okay" i hate whenever my husband response to those people is "That's the internet."
that shouldn't be an excuse in my opinion. i think manners, common curiosity and kindness should be extended to the internet..apparently i live in my own little world so i'm just talkin' out my a** to a lot of people when saying that.

Yeah it does =) But yeah all were safely released with minimal handling ^_^ That is how I convinced my parents to allow me to get a bunny- by taking care of those. XD And awww =O Was he okay?
And well we adopted a fourth bunny a little while ago- a white New Zealand (Soleil) and she escaped her pen and attacked Sabriel and Solara (when they were bonded)... Sabriel broke his leg because of the encounter so we had to take her back =( And the E.R vet had said that his leg most likely would have to be pinned/amputated...550$ in emergency vet costs later... and then an additional like, 300 for bandage(cast) changes every week and such... well now his leg is healed, but it was a very hard situation. I lost a rabbit I loved and I almost lost my other... His leg was broken.. the front left, the two major bones in that arm.. were snapped clear in half Dx It was all limp.. I'm so glad he's okay now D;

And yeah I hate when people feel that way Dx I agree that all that should extend to the internet.
and i know biggrin i had a custom one made.. x3 sleep with it every night! LOL!

On a quick note, does anyone know if rabbits get along well with small, noisy birds? I don't expect them to be best buds, but if they scare each other every day I don't want to put a rabbit in that environment (not good for the bunny!). I am starting my 9 to 5 career life in a year, and I already have a talkative bird. I know putting hamsters in the same room is good for the bird, as it gives him something to watch, but what about the rabbit? Would even a small, hand-sized bird feel like a predator to him?

And if none of you have this problem I totally get it biggrin I cant imagine very many people are rabbit people and bird ladies at the same time haha

I have both a bird and a rabbit, and I've never had any problems. Both are free-roaming, but really, Toby (the bird), just sits on his cage, while Gimlet runs around on the floor. They don't really have much contact with each other, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. What sort of bird do you have?

My biggest problem is when I put the cage on the floor when I'm cleaning. The little fuzzy booger LOVES bird food, and will stick his head in the cage to eat it. One time he managed to climb into the cage entirely.

I would be careful to supervise them if they were able to come in contact. But I don't see the problem in keeping them in the same room. The bunny might be scared at first (my rabbits get scared when a crow caws) but the bun would get used to it like my rabbits have gotten used to the blow dryer noise x3
