the breeder was very amateur. I'd doubt it if she had documents for all her puppies. the ones online typically know what they're doing/ how much the dog is really worth

Also look for breed specific rescue shelters, for a Shiba, in particular. If you live in or near a large city, you'll probably find one.

Anyway, Shibas are cute. whee My neighbor has one, it's a silly little thing. One time he escaped from his backyard and was running around the neighborhood while I was on my way to work. I feared he would get hit by a car or something, with the way he was running around and all, so I opened the car door and called him over. He jumped right in. He didn't have any tags, but I knew what street he lived on, and luckily his owner was standing right outside their house. rofl

Cute, but what's wrong with checking the pound? You never know... My dog was given to me, from a puppy mill type market. He was older, and the lady said no one would buy him. He's the best dog ever. You couldn't ask for a better dog. He's elegant, obedient, and he poses and waits for you. Follows me around like my shadow. Sleeps on my bed. He's about the size of a basketball when he sleeps, maybe a bit bigger. His name is teddy, because when he poses he puts his paw up and he actually looks like a bear. <3 He's hard to photograph only because of his coloring, otherwise he poses for photos and he loves it.
