Actually, I was curious about something. Would the 'Anyone Else Dislike Twilight' topic be able to take residence in there? Because I think if there wasn't any, there wouldn't be any discussion and it would fall into chaos within days.

It probably would, I'm sure there are forums in the HP subforum where people are there not agreeing with HP.

That's what most of the people who disagree with this petition fail to realize- everyone has their own opinions and they will voice them in the forum and outside- even I don't like Twilight.

I disagree with this. I'm just pointing out my opinion, but I think having another forum for Twilight would only encourage further talk. Let's not forget some haters just get a kick out of it to just yell at others. It wouldn't be a happy place, pretty ravenous really. If we make a Twilight forum wouldn't it also be necessary to make a Naruto subforum as well? I think it's all too complicated and the result wouldn't be too good either. It's all just in my opinion though, it may very well be a great idea to organize it like that.

I'm not signing but I still wish you luck, hope that if it does work, chaos doesn't break out and people don't start asking for all their favourite things to have a subforum. :/

The entertainment discussion forum is constantly spammed by people who love/hate/are indifferent about Twilight. Its apparently quite a popular topic- all the Twilight discussion should go into the Sticky provided- but never makes its way there. A subforum would be easier to spot and help keep the forums organized.

I did read the first post, I didn't state anything about you liking Twilight if that is what you are yet again referrring to. That was just my opinion on the matter, is it so bad that I disagree with your petition? Is it really bad for me to voice my opinion? :/

I spend a fair share of my time in the Entertainment Discussion as well, various forums as a matter a fact and I am aware of the current uncontrollable wave of the Twilight fans. Hell, they've even somehow squirmed into the Music Discussion forum once or twice. So it isn't as if I am ill-notified of the matter towards the Twilight fandom, as well as the raving haters of it. So just to reinstate my opinion which is by no means meant to be offensive in any way:

If you make a Twilight subforum, what's stopping the world from making a subforum for every little book? So you may reply, there are a lot of Twilight topics, but let's face it. There aren't going to be a lot of people who are going to see it that way if they love whatever it is they love enough. There will be many who do, but some who don't. I feel sorry for Lanzer. All I'm saying is I think it's a bad idea because of the drama it would cause because of Twilight's popularity, and also everything attached to it. First a Twilight subforum, then what? I understand you aren't asking for more than just this forum, but the truth is I'm pretty darn sure others would be asking for it later.

And again, this isn't a bash at you, anyone supporting the idea or your petition. If it was, wouldn't I just skip the fancy words and straight up bash and yell? This petition may very well be a sucess, but I just don't think it's a good idea until proven otherwise. Sorry for the novel :'D

It obviously isn't a little book to the people who have made six threads on the Entertainment Discussion just this morning about it.

I guess if we shouldn't have subforums for just one book for the sake of organization we should just not have the HP subforum, which has obviously been successful in keeping most threads about HP out of the main Entertainment Discussion.

Well maybe you should try to prove otherwise to me. You haven't exactly given me any sort of information to prove me wrong, and in fact I find you're reply slightly offensive. :/ Well, maybe me checking back is stupid as well, but I'm honestly trying to prove myself wrong and allow myself to be wrong, you seem reasonable enough and I'm sure you have some good points. I'm hoping I mistook your last point, as in there isn't sarcasm right? I'm trying to be reasonable.

And let's not forget that I think Harry Potter is completely sponsoring GaiaOnline right now, more so than Twilight is. So you might have your forum by the time New Moon comes out. That's the difference, I'm pretty sure Gaia is getting a whole wonk of money from Harry Potter, and Twilight will probably follow. Other popular things like hana Yori Dango or Naruto or anything else that's completely overated (not necessarily bad) don't have their own subforums. Why? Because they aren't paying gaia and you don't see a whole mess of items. Despite the Naruto items, they maybe don't have a subforum because of the fact that when their payment was offered, Gaia wasn't so completely absorbed in making money. :/

Hoping to recieve a reasonable, and perhaps at least semi-convincing reply.

There are no Lord of the Rings sponsors- or at least ones I've seen with my last four years here. They haven't sponsored and given Gaia money- we better take away their subforum.

HP subforum has been around for years. Sponsoring has only been recently. Know facts.

Please, I understand this is your forum and all, but don't get sarcastic with me. I'm trying to be nice here and if you really are looking for trying to put me down, I'll feel obliged to return the favour.

Next, well I suppose I didn't know that. And I'm sorry, I guess I should keep myself further informed, I haven't exactly been playing around on this site too long. So I guess said argument wasn't completely viable. Sorry D;

And, again you fail to see that at the moment, I was actually asking you to answer a question of mine. To be quite honest, I am tired of the Twilight fans rampaging all over the place, see? But the fact is, I just don't see how your idea would help. Now I was hoping you'd be able to calmy, and rather politely give me some answers as to why you think I should sign. And just to clear things up I will sign, if you can give me a good, well thought out reason to. Not just the fact that of "Organization" or "Annoying Twi-tards." I mean, give me a reason to because of some good or one really good point as to how it will really end the mass wave of Twilight fans and haters alike. I'm really hoping, that in my next reply, I get an answer for this question, and hopefully will sign.

The thing that's keeping people from signing is that there are going to be several Twitards who don't read anything and get butt-hurt over people even disliking the books. But then you get the idiotic haters that end up trolling the forum.
I still support the petition, but I'm just letting you know of what some of the antis think.

I remember a time when Harry Potter threads were hated- the fans eventually got over it- it got old, everyone calms down about these fads eventually. The same thing will happen with this- a subforum will just help ease it along, and help with organization. There will always be Twitards and Haters alike who will not read and troll- but that happens in all forums (God, the GD) But for most people they will actually see the subforum and post in the right place.
