We need some kind of notification for when a friend changes their Gaia username! Either a private message, or something in our feeds. An on/off switch would of course, also be included - two actually, one if you dont want any feeds/PMs about it, and another if you dont want others knowing that you changed your username (this would be to help prevent any internet-stalkers from finding you again)

Because what basic online community doesnt alert friends when they change their username/screename?

A friend of mines changed their name, and now I have no idea who it is!

Also, when I changed my name, I decided to go through the torture and send a message out to all my friends. The hassle wasnt worth the actual change of my name.

Anyone with some similar problems?

Suggestion: It could also be in the info box with the Gender, Age, Occupation, Location.
Like, "Previous Usernames".

I think this is actually a really good idea.
I've removed people from my friend's list in the past, wondering who they are and how they made it onto my list, only to find out that it was a close friend who had committed to a name change!

A PM (like the ones Flynn sends for birthday reminders) or a little note in Feeds (like the ones you get when a friend joins a guild/makes a thread) would be extremely beneficial to ensuring that friend mix-ups don't occur as often.
