Honestly to me? That was slightly offensive, but cynically ironic and humorous. But if you have something to debate, or even build upon in our reasons that can actually bring in new light, or simply shut us up, I do wanna read them. >.>; (No offense to anyone, here). Hence, my posting to you.

I don't know how many times you have to explain to someone, it's not the principal of a bad layout, it's that they asked ASKED for feedback, when they didn't like what they heard, they ignored it and did what they wanted.

Btw.. if you're in here when someone comments and they don't write -signs- can you remind them for me please? The list is so long now I don't know who has signed or not... and it's in the Petition rules that people have to say it in some way in order for the signature to count.

Just did, at least I skimmed it. Honestly, Nights is a good debater and has sound reason in most things, so far as I can tell. The picture was a bit much. He did go back and edit in an explanation which is how I interpreted it to begin with- He did in fact give that hint off that there may be an indirect meaning/PoV concerning who's saying that [hence part of why I found it humorous and ironic]. But the sig is, eck, just offensive. Really it's sort of like a missed shot at one of the bigger drives to this petition, I feel anyways. Yeah I don't like the lay out, they could've done WAY better. I wont deny that it's not ALL that bad in the sense that it can be built upon or stripped down in the future and modified for promising features to make it more "Gaia". I also don't deny that Admins have one thing on a good track, and that's the fact that they are in fact trying to implement a page to give more meaning and substance to the 'My Gaia' page rather than it being just another page to glance at (as convenient and helpful as that glance was)... it just went horribly wrong is all. >///>;; lol

But the biggest point concerning the lay out is that it seems to ghost that of something completely NOT Gaia and devoid of any sense of style or substance to make it amazing enough to actually go through with, especially with the convenience of our handy-dandy drop down boxes.

And the biggest fuel to our fire? We once again have been ignored, despite the unavoidable extreme negative feedbacks and poll (which has disappeared).

I never thought of the new Gaia layout to look like myspace and Facebook but after the evidence I've seen in the first post I agree that they were looking for something similar to both. Gaia assured that navigation was going to be easier with this new layout but I really don't see the simplicity of it. Also the first day that the new Gaia layout came out I just thought that the feeds were ridiculous. So yes we have friends on Gaia but that doesn't mean we have to be on their cases 24/7 knowing what they've done and how many shoes they have in their closet it's just simply ridiculous. One of the problems that not only I've been having but a lot of others have is that the layering on tektek and on Gaia aren't the same, problems like this are the things that Gaia should be concentrating on, it would allow Gaians to expand their posibilities. Another problem is the lacking, ever since Gaia added this new layout browsing has become slower and slower and pages fail to load. The new toolbar that was added on the My Gaia page is also a waste of space. To be truthful that toolbar to me is useless and I haven't used it once.

To me, Nights was trolling. In the purely indignant way shehe addressed my rebuttals to her points, it was non-productive and borderline harassment. I'm well versed in positive debates myself, the whole NaruSaku VS NaruHina war. I debate in a productive, non-judgemental way regarding Naruto pairings nearly everyday. I call them HEALTHY debates. Nights started out debating in a healthy manner... and merged over to the extreme of non-productive.

Anything the moderators wish to do, I am for. If you don't like the new features, then don't use them or quit. Whining won't make them change it. I actually prefer the changes. It shows the moderators and designers ability to change the site and keep it up to date with other sites. It's not becoming a "gaiabook". It's becoming better and easier to use.

((Edit: BY the way, Moderators are people who moderate the site. Admins/Developers are those who modify the site. No sarcasm, mo cruel intension... Just thought I'd say so you can decipher such in the future should a time call for it. 3nodding ))

I agree with Sakura on it that this really isn't whining. Seriously... they asked we said, we love it as is and it seems a bit off in relations to Gaia. Don't ask an opinion if you don't really want to hear it. Don't pretend like users are gonna really make a difference if they really sorta don't. Simple as pie. But guess what.. They DID ask, and they DID play it off as if we had a say. Like I said before... Seems like something to be frustrated about. You can NOT blame us for that. : /

Beyond that, we do have our own right to voice our opinions on things. I don't want to just take it and constantly be like "Well, a few of the users seem to like it along with the newbies." Like I said.. people aren't retarded, they can make do. And in that logic, people aren't retarded- we can react and rebel instead of sit on our hands while riding a downwards spiral of accumulating negative emotions. (There's a REASON why peoples voices are so harsh and skeptical after all). IN addition, that's like saying,"We'll accommodate you while a newbie, but be a regular? Annnnnd... Your voice sorta doesn''t matter anymore, because we got ya already. <.< " It's just how I feel, and.. apparently many others. So yeah.. I feel fine sitting here and "whining" and petitioning about the wrongs I feel, until proven embarrassingly wrong.

Also, Uh... Keeping up with sites like what? Myspace and Facebook? Those sites do NOT compare to Gaia, so why follow in the path of such sites? Why not make your own path? Why do that, and lose a part of what made Gaia, Gaia? They have the ability, they have the creativity, they have a crap load of users that can suggest and help along the way- though some may be harsher than others. This lay out isn't all that new, in a sense... NOT if people relate it to Facebook and Myspace almost instantaneously. The Admins have created an amazing world, unique and (so far) Unmatchable. They can go, and in a large sense HAVE gone, beyond many other sites. THEY'VE done this. They have the ability for more. Match?... Copy? Follow? Screw that, what a waste. THAT is how I feel about the Admins deep down. To see them do what they're doing on TOP of ignoring us and not addressing us and all, THAT is the biggest disappointment of them.

All of that being said, in my opinion [just as you get to have yours], Better?

... I think not...

((In addition, I don't "unwelcome" those that like this lay out. Though I know it's not my place for such. I WANT to see the people who support this change- who like it, genuinely. (Not just because it was made by the Admins). Why? Because then I'd know the majority really IS okay with this and is for it, and I'd feel partially better and, again, bite my tongue.

Why the above rant? It was merely my defense and explanation. ))
