I've been on gaia since 05...and have watched the new updates come in. I hate some of them, liked others...but I definately DO NOT like the new ones they are doing. ANd I agree with most people here saying that it's looking more and more like myspace. I prefer Gaia above all else...I come here to chat, to meet new people...and to Roleplay. Mostly roleplay. I would prefer to go back to the old layout just before this new one.

Anything the moderators wish to do, I am for. If you don't like the new features, then don't use them or quit. Whining won't make them change it. I actually prefer the changes. It shows the moderators and designers ability to change the site and keep it up to date with other sites. It's not becoming a "gaiabook". It's becoming better and easier to use.

((Edit: BY the way, Moderators are people who moderate the site. Admins/Developers are those who modify the site. No sarcasm, mo cruel intension... Just thought I'd say so you can decipher such in the future should a time call for it. 3nodding ))

I agree with Sakura on it that this really isn't whining. Seriously... they asked we said, we love it as is and it seems a bit off in relations to Gaia. Don't ask an opinion if you don't really want to hear it. Don't pretend like users are gonna really make a difference if they really sorta don't. Simple as pie. But guess what.. They DID ask, and they DID play it off as if we had a say. Like I said before... Seems like something to be frustrated about. You can NOT blame us for that. : /

Beyond that, we do have our own right to voice our opinions on things. I don't want to just take it and constantly be like "Well, a few of the users seem to like it along with the newbies." Like I said.. people aren't retarded, they can make do. And in that logic, people aren't retarded- we can react and rebel instead of sit on our hands while riding a downwards spiral of accumulating negative emotions. (There's a REASON why peoples voices are so harsh and skeptical after all). IN addition, that's like saying,"We'll accommodate you while a newbie, but be a regular? Annnnnd... Your voice sorta doesn''t matter anymore, because we got ya already. <.< " It's just how I feel, and.. apparently many others. So yeah.. I feel fine sitting here and "whining" and petitioning about the wrongs I feel, until proven embarrassingly wrong.

Also, Uh... Keeping up with sites like what? Myspace and Facebook? Those sites do NOT compare to Gaia, so why follow in the path of such sites? Why not make your own path? Why do that, and lose a part of what made Gaia, Gaia? They have the ability, they have the creativity, they have a crap load of users that can suggest and help along the way- though some may be harsher than others. This lay out isn't all that new, in a sense... NOT if people relate it to Facebook and Myspace almost instantaneously. The Admins have created an amazing world, unique and (so far) Unmatchable. They can go, and in a large sense HAVE gone, beyond many other sites. THEY'VE done this. They have the ability for more. Match?... Copy? Follow? Screw that, what a waste. THAT is how I feel about the Admins deep down. To see them do what they're doing on TOP of ignoring us and not addressing us and all, THAT is the biggest disappointment of them.

All of that being said, in my opinion [just as you get to have yours], Better?

... I think not...

((In addition, I don't "unwelcome" those that like this lay out. Though I know it's not my place for such. I WANT to see the people who support this change- who like it, genuinely. (Not just because it was made by the Admins). Why? Because then I'd know the majority really IS okay with this and is for it, and I'd feel partially better and, again, bite my tongue.

Why the above rant? It was merely my defense and explanation. ))
