The overall reaction from my previous thread influenced me to make this petition. 3nodding

The short version: It would be pretty neat if Gaia had an online version of Monopoly. Most of us are familiar with the game anyway. I would like to see Gaia's take on this popular board game. Besides, if Gaia can acquire Coco-Cola and Skittles, then a sponsorship with Parker Brothers should be fair game (pardon the pun).

To the Developers and Artists: I'll let you guys come up with the idea for the cards and how the game room should look. I'm also kinda stumped on the game pieces at the moment.

To CEO Mike Sego, Lanzer, and the rest of the board:
GaiaOnline has grown over several years. Many new features have added to versatility and success of this virtual forum. As Gaia grew, so has it sponsorships. My proposal to Gaia is to have a its version of a Monopoly™ mini game added to its growing list of mini-games. If it's also possible, a collaboration/sponsorship with Parker Brothers would be an added bonus.

Here is a mock up I did for fun using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. This is a general idea of what it "might" look like (minus my silly logo).

I'm not sure what the Monopoly hotels/houses could be. Maybe the houses could be represented by a pile of gold and the hotels represented by a money bag or something. For the player tokens, I agree with styx_n_stones's suggestion of Rufus or Rock Puppy. I think Gambino would make a good token.

During the events if Gaia can spare the devpower, the board could have an event theme. Like a Halloween theme during Halloween (Jack and a grunny could become players' tokens and the board's background could become Halloween colors) a Gaia xmas theme during Christmas. (I envision seeing a cow in a Santa hat and elftech elves somewhere on the board). ect.

An inventive, multiplayer interface? Very good mockups, I must say.

I sign, and hope to Gambino in 'heaven' that this becomes reality. Because, lets face it, the games we have now are rather old and dull, and we could use some Gaian interaction beyond zOMG. zOMG is fun and all, but... without much of a dev team, it's going nowhere fast. ;.;

As a feature suggestion, I recommend you mention if someone lags out, that it turns those properties/houses into "banned for botting" NPCs, and allows cheaper purchase or something.Because a multiplayer game hinged upon turns will ultimately fail without, well, a person to take that "turn".

I think the pieces could be either your avi in statuesque form, or a wider number of choices than in a typical Monopoly game. They could have one for each NPC, for example. But maybe that's a little unnecessary and overboard.

Hopefully the partnership would spark a couple other popular board games from them, too.

I think it would be nice to have an option to play against a computer or NPC though... Sometimes people leave really fast in the game rooms, so if you wanted a long game it would be nice to have NPC's so they don't leave.

I love monopoly (although im crap / extremely unlucky at it). and it would make a great addition...although i expect it would be a complete pain in the backside to code.

I love your mockup (although...how come SF & Q&A got the crappy colours & Ask the Admin got the decent one rofl )
