Those who enjoy this feature and have sunk so much time and gold into it shouldn't have to pay for the fact that Gaia didn't think it through.

In the end it boils down to the fact that Alchemy doesn't make much money for Gaia so they scrapped it because it's not worth updating or maintaining.

If we let them get rid of it for that reason we're sending a message that they have the power to do that with any feature that they see as not worthwhile, regardless of how many users disagree.

What if GoFusion is next? Fishing? Flash Spaces? ZomG? Guilds?

I'm not big into alchemy (though I did get to level 10), but it's a huge feature and so interconnected with many parts of the site. And a ton of people have invested a lot of time into it, especially with the wing quests, some of which aren't done with them. It would be a terrible shame to completely remove alchemy, leave all these alchemists hanging, and also take away the need for component collecting, how a lot of people make gold.

Alchemy is a great gold sink feature, and the Wing Mastery achievement is probably one of the most challenging. Honestly, I stayed on Gaia because I was trying to get that achievement. I would've quit a year ago (and not spend a ridiculous amount of cash buying GC) if it wasn't for Alchemy.
