This is kind of ridiculous in all honesty and I'm trying not to be rude at all

Also this deadline would also cause more stress instead of take it away it seems to me
While working on a number of projects to get done they'd also have an EI they'd have to finish by a certain date
Having a bunch of projects piled on top of you then another with a specific date to have it done by doesn't sound stress free to me

but that's just me

They know that they have an EI that they have to update in the first place. If they are on a schedule then the artist can decide when, what kind and how long the EI is going to take. It is only adding stress if they are running late to a deadline that they already agreed to by making the EI. Also they have journals to write us and tell us wether or not its gonna be late or not.
Yes
but an EI isn't the only thing on their plate
A lot of you are making it seem like an EI is their first priority
and they agreed to making the item, but not to a schedule in which interferes with other things they have to do

I understand that they have other things to do. I think any good company shouldn't be letting us know how busy they are and that they are not able to handle everything that is on their plate. Busy or not the stuff that we actually pay money for should be more of a priority. There is more than one artist working on everything like events and what not and they all seem to be able to evolve their EI's.

They're trying their best
And if you paid money and this is happening then don't do it again
Just learn from this and move on
Yes there is more then one artist but you do not know how much work each is doing
One may be doing more then another

Why should I not do it again?
Why can't they just give us a time and to avoid this whole issue?
I want to give money to a company that I love.

I sign~

I sign, seriously, they should have a official public schedule, they use the "no schedule" as an excuse for poor planning in their products, we are not buying with fairy dust, its real money.

Agreed.

I sign. I think the only time anything should be delayed is for an ACTUAL reason.. not this "Oh it's not on a set schedule anyway"

If an artist is sick I can understand. I hate drawing when I'm under the weather.

c_c BUT I HATE COP OUTS MORE!

I dont want to pressure any of them, this is NOT what this petition is for. It's asking GAIA to be accountable. It has nothing to do with the artists as professionals.

It seems like it is
because you're singling out one artist and one EI which hasn't evolved in awhile and you don't know why because you don't know what is going on in their lives
The artists are gaia
they make up gaia so you're asking them as well

The Case of Pietro is the flagship because it's what's everyone's mind and it can be used to promote. Also, it is the best example. I have done my best to specify this isn't an anti-reapersun petition. I hope she takes 0 offence from this.

We are asking Gaia as a business, then. The artists are employees, most of them are not management staff.

It's the only example, which is why this petition was made
Because everyone was whining about the case
This whole petition doesn't seem to be about any other EI really, though you're trying to get a schedule for everyone I don't see that

Doesn't matter if they aren't
If there were no artists on gaia there really wouldn't be much of a gaia would there?

There are plenty of instances where EI's are late. And no one is talking about getting rid of any of the artist.

Please cease putting words in our mouths, nobody here asked for anybody to be fired.

I'm going to have to ask you to take it to SF or GCD, because it's making it hard for me to read the signatures sweatdrop Thanks.

If you do it again then you have no right to complain
Because you know what's going to happen
You'll have to wait
It's like someone not wearing a jacket in a snowstorm then complaining that it's cold
You don't have a right too because you should of put on a coat
If you buy a EI from that same person and end up waiting again then complaining
You don't have the right because you should of known it was going to happen
Maybe they don't give a time because they have other things to do
which may not be done on time and then people will complain about that
A never ending circle
Give money if you want
Maybe don't spend it on a EI

Sign. Great idea.

Um
I'm not putting words in anyone's mouth and I never said for anyone to be fired
So don't start saying I'm putting words in your mouth

Right then
I'll let you continue on with your petition or whatever

This. The moment it's a matter of real money, there are certain expectations of the artist. Even given some form of delay, it is a matter of professional courtesy to inform the customer. No schedule gives far too much license - one could argue say that no schedule means that if the next update is at Christmas, it's still fine.
Also, it is not like the existence of work for a yearly event was a last-minute thing. Gaia does Halloween every year.

I sign.

Bump this if my tank glows? heart

I'm in.

Having a little accountability and a reasonably flexible but basically set delivery schedule (particularly when a paid product is involved-) isn't a bad thing. It's basic business practice.

I sign. Even if schedules don't work out, AT LEAST have better communication between people and artists.

Like have it in the EI report, for example if Masquerade was delayed another week or so: "Masquerade will not be evolving this week due to the artist is sick with THE PLAGUE!!!"
Or like a quote from them like "Hey sorry everyone I'm really busy with XYZ and won't be able to work on EI for a few weeks!" Then people wouldn't be so D:<!!!
If there's a reasonable explanation a lot of people have sympathy. It's human nature, ya know?

It's just frustrating because most of us pay actual money for EIs. -_-;
