It's that time again. Time for me to set up a profile shop again!

In my opinion, a profile should be a place where you can showcase yourself, so that
other people can learn whatever about you that you want them to know. For this
reason, my layouts are very simple and very clean. The focus is on you, using nice
graphics to showcase your information. So you won't see a lot of flashy blends
or brushwork here. It's just not my style.

The other reason I stick to relatively simple work is that I want for you to be able to
change your profile content whenever you get the urge, and not whenever you have
the money to pay for a new profile. I enjoy having fluid layouts that don't rely on a
certain amount of text being in a certain place. As a result of this desire for your
profile to house whatever content your heart desires, I only work with the current
profile system.

What you will see here is quality work, nonetheless. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so
I do make sure that all the profiles I put out there are worth the price you pay
for them.

I DO NOT RESERVE SPOTS. People keep asking this, I have no idea why,
but no. If you don't have the money, I will not hold a spot for you. I have no
guarantee that you will earn the money soon, and I could give that spot to someone
who has the money now. However, I do tend to work quickly, so by the time you've
earned the money or whatever is keeping you from ordering right now, I will probably
have a spot open, or have one within the week.

All of my profiles come with a few basics, no matter the layout:

• Cross-browser compatibility: I work in Firefox, but I do try to ensure that
  your layout will work in IE and other browsers with a large userbase
  
• Cross-resolution compatibility: Profiles are optimized for 1024x768, with
  consideration given for larger resolutions. 800x600 is not really supported, as it
  seems to be a minority these days (thankfully).
  
• Whatever content you want: Because I work with the current profile style,
  there is really no limit to what content your profile can house. You can have as
  many blocks of content you want, in whichever areas you want.
  
• Whatever graphics are required: When you order a profile from me, I will
  supply background images, header images, etc as the theme requires them. If
  at a later date you choose to add or move content so that it requires a new
  header, I can supply these for a small additional fee.
  
• Personal Patch: A 50x50 graphic for you to share with people who wish to
  patch your profile, or trade patches
  
• Centered profiles: By default, I center all my profiles. If you would like
  yours to be left or right aligned, please mention this when ordering.

There are a few things I simply do not do as a profile artist, generally because
I flat out can't or because I feel that the following do not provide a good end-user
experience

• Copyrighted material: I am a profile artist, and not one who can draw.
  Therefore I rely on my customers to supply me with any avatar art or images
  they may want their profile centered around. However, I cannot use these
  images without permission of the original artist.
  
• Hidden and/or autostarting media: This is obnoxious. So no. Just no
  
• Profiles that focus on one large image: These generally are not
  userfriendly, not browser friendly, and not resolution friendly. They require lots of
  loading time, and end up with icky scrollbars or lots of extra blank space. If
  it's something you really want though, I may be able to be bribed to do so.
  But honestly, you're better off without it.
  
• Colored scrollbars or custom cursors: honestly, they're just tacky
  most of the time, it's hard to make them look nice xd

Single
A single, wide base column for your content to reside in

Lefty
The native layout for Gaia Profiles: a
small sidebar on the left, a larger base
content block on the right. Sidebar is
usually around 200 pixels wide, with the
main area being around 500 pixels wide.

Righty
As you may have guessed, the exact
opposite of a Lefty. Small sidebar on the
right, larger base content block on the left.

Price: 25,000 gold














Triple
Similar to the single, only with three
columns: a large base content block in
the middle, and two smaller sidebars on
each side.

Price: 25,000 gold

As a note, this profile was originally created
by another user as an old school profile. I
am using it as an example because I coded
the v2 version, and as such, it is an example
of what I can do with three columns.

Side-by-side
In general, large content blocks hold on
column's width of content. However, to
add more visual variety, I can alter the
layout so that you have two blocks in
the space of one. This works best for
static content, such as if you have two
multimedia blocks, or two blocks to
display art or photos.

Price: additional 5,000g for every two
blocks of content placed side-by-side








Fancy Footer
Due to the nature of current profiles, a
footer section can be added. This can be
as long of a section as you like, but by
design it will span the width of all the
content columns.

Price: additional 5,000g












Rollover Buttons
Some people enjoy plain old text links.
Other people prefer something a bit fancier,
that changes on rollover.

Price: additional 2,500g per button














Rotate on Refresh
For a small fee, I can set up images
in your profile to change when your
profile is reloaded. These can be handy
if you have multiple images you want
used in your header, or if you just have a
bunch of art or photos that you want to
display on your profile without taking up
alot of real estate.

Price: additional 10,000 initial set-up &
continued hosting for 5 images, 1,000 gold for
each additional image; limit 100 images total








Content Header Edits: If you ever decide to move or add new content to your profile
and need a header to match, I can help you out for a small fee. Please note this option
is only available to my own past customers.

Price: 500g per updated header

Step 1

Determine what layout you want, which extras you want, what art you want used,
and obtain permission to use the art. Also make sure there is an open waiting
list spot.

Step 2

Make sure your profile is set to current style and then set up your profile the way
you want it to be: stuff in the left column should be in the left column, stuff in the
right column should be in the right column, stuff for the third column should be in
the third column. If there's more to it than that, we'll talk when I get to your order.
Please note that if I get to your order on the list and your profile is set to classic,
I will contact you to remind you to set it to current and then I will move on to the
next order. When that profile is complete, or after a week (whichever comes last),
if your profile is still set to classic, I will cancel the trade and the order.

Step 3

Fill out the form posted below, and post it in this thread. Please note that orders
PMed will be ignored.

Step 4

Start a trade for the appropriate amount. Please label the trade appropriately:

Step 5

Wait patiently until I get to your order. When you are #1 on the waiting list, I will
begin working on your order. If I have any questions about your order I will
contact you.

Step 6

When your order is complete, I will send a screenshot to you, and confirm the trade.
If you find the screenshot acceptable, you will complete the trade, and I will PM
you the code. If you have any concerns, be sure to voice them before completing
your side of the trade.

Step 7

Copy the PMed code into your profile theme box. At this point I will make any last
tweaks that may need to be done, and will then call the layout complete.

completely original layout that doesn't fall into one of my standard layouts above,
or work with the old school style.

I don't reserve spots, but it still shouldn't be an issue, there seems to be little interest right now, but also I work quick 3nodding

As for the second question, I absolutely cannot use an image without the original artist's consent. It is against Gaia's rules, and just immoral to profit off of someone else's work without their consent. This especially goes for images found on photobucket or google.
