I had an idea about making a layout shop, but I need something clarified before I can start it.

Would it be ok if I started a shop that made free images and layouts, but they'd have to pay for the coding?

Quick Question: For those whom make graphics with brushes (using PSP, PS, ADOBE, ETC) they got from a another site, is it okay to still sell-- so long as the website they got the brushes from, is linked? Most of the sites that have brushes state that as long as you link back to their site, you may use their brushes.

I think even though you're making them pay for the coding... it would still fall under vending an image that isn't yours. If the image is included in the profile, then it would fall under it. Now, if you did the coding and they found a picture to use & put it in themself, that would probably be a different story.

When you're making a graphic, and a picture that you didn't take your self /you dont own is used & then you sell it, it's still vending a copy right image that doesn't belong to you; thus breaking the rules. So in conclusion; No, you can't just add your own text to a picture and whatnot then call it yours. The picture still does not belong to you.

Quick question, well two really.
I'm looking to create a image map shop.
my first question is about selling them.
someone said something about not using their tutorial to profit from image map creation (or something to that effect)
now in reality there are MANY image map tutorials on the web and anyone can access them.
I personally feel it is perfectly acceptable to profit from an image map, where the coding is 'public knowledge' and anyone can find the info. I WILL be linking tutorials and giving buyers the option of purchasing just the image and coding it themselves OR buying the image w/ coding.
so my question is if that seems fair?
my other question is that many people will want to use images they purchased from other artists on gaia (i, of course, will not allow commercial images)
now my question is do i need them to get permission from every artist they want to have pictures from? i know alot of people make image maps w/out asking if they can take a little 'square' or whatever of thei mage and put it into a mpa, and most artists are ok with it. the problem here mostly is that it would take alot of time to track down and ask each artist, and some may not want to be bothered by questions like this.
if i have to, i have to. but i thought i'd ask first ^^

I have a Question. I'm currently making a Shop for Profile Layouts, however, I do want to have some Freebies for people when they want to get them. Is it okay to use Copyrighted Images Such as Inuyasha, Anime and stuff for Freebies as Layouts?? Not charging ANY gold whatsoever for them?
