Alas, I'm renting this place, so I can't do anything as drastic as add a dishwasher. Plus, I'm trying to save up to move. The other problem is I have stuff that can't go in the dishwasher. It would be incredibly handy for saucepans, and cooking utensil and glasses and all... but I can't put my silverware in there, or my camel plates, as I've seen dishwashers wash the pattern off plates over time. |

And when you wash glass, it comes out ... squeaky. It feels weird. Although, I may be the only one who finds that disturbing. |

When I was being dish-pig at the Yachty, I had a squirty thing from the ceiling, and scrubbing things, and everything had to be cleanish before sticking it in the dishwasher. The dishwasher was more or less just quick, extreme heat to sanitise the stuff I was washing. Although.... when we had a dishwasher in Cooma, it was needed. Plates and cutlery for seven or eight of us, plus all the cooking stuff, was just a pain to wash by hand after every meal. |
