heart ... Autumn leaves fall and are swept out of sight ...

...

That was rather random. Scones? I guess. Only if it's with something, I'm not too fond of just munching on a plain lump of dough that tastes like powder. Jam.

But ... why?

Scones with jam and cream really. Although, pikelets with jam and cream are essentially the same thing. So the question would work for them too, I guess.

We had scones for morning tea today. We all take turns providing morning tea on a Wednesday. Today was actually my turn, but Gary was working (today is usually his day off), and his wife made us scones. She does that occasionally. Nice lady.

But I like cream. I always have to pile it on thick.

Pancakes and pikelets - the difference I know not - we just have with honey.

Yes, THAT honey.

I've never had cream with scones. Cream tends to be reserved for hot puddings and pies. I'm not sure if I'd be a cream with scones person.

Pikelets are small, pancakes are ... not so much. Then you get into crepes, which are the small ones. Banana crepes, you know?

I have that honey on my cereal. Is that weird? It's probably better than having brown sugar on my cereal, I guess.

I'm not entirely sure how you can have gone your whole life without having cream on scones. Or pecan pie, or chocolate bavarian. You, my love, are somewhat deprived in the sweet foods area.

Yes, can't forget the crepes ...

Honey on cereal isn't weird. I have it on the rare occasion that I have Korn Flakes ... actually I'm not much of a cereal person. When I do have it I don't add sugar to it. Only honey. I'm more of a toast and apple porridge person. And pancakes and pikelets and ...

Getting drunk and high on a two course meal and water.

Hey, I grew up on Yan-Yan, sago, Hello Panda and chocolate rice. Oh, and Chinese cake, which is a small soy bean thing ((also comes in red bean, which is foul imo)) you can get in a packet of about 5 or 6. Different cultural backgrounds, remember?

I tend to have cereal because it's faster in the mornings. Toast takes forever for me to eat.

I don't know what Yan-Yan or Hello Panda is. Mum makes sago, but I think we established that we make it differently than your mum. And is Chinese cake the same as Moon Cake? I bought a tin of four of them in China Town in Sydney, yesterday. Or the day before. Kind of forgotten. They had a tray of samples and it was tasty, so Ma and I bought a tin each. I think it's lotus. Didn't get the red bean one.

Cereal slows me down in the mornings.

I have absolutely no idea what Moon Cake is. And I don't know if Chinese Cake can come in a tin, I've only seen them come in a small stack wrapped in plastic. Don't think they've got a lotus flavour either, just soy and red bean. To be honest, I'm not sure if there's much difference in the making of sago. It tends to take a while for us to make it but I just imagine that we had it a lot more when we were younger because we had more access to it.

I don't know what they are either. We just went into Market City and there was a big sign saying something about a Moon Festival, and a stall underneath selling Moon Cakes. With samples. Which were tasty, as previously mentioned. Couldn't ask the lady who sold them to us any questions, because it was fairly obvious that we were her first customers. She was ever so confused. xd

Then we went to China Town IGA, which was interesting in itself. Had lots of ever so interesting stuff that I'd never heard of. And, mostly, couldn't read. I had weird dreams about that IGA that night.

@ Monblanc - hello! How're you going?
