You really have to wait and try on shoes to see what kind works for you. Also ask a trained professional that works at the store for help, or if your going with your teacher she can help too.

I am going to start pointe in Sept and all of my friends say wait and try on a few different pairs fo shoes. some people have different size for there feet. And ask for a professional to fit u. your shoes have to fit perfect or u wont be able to go on pointe well.

go to a dance store recommended by older students or your dance teacher, listen to what the fitter says and try and provide helpful information eg: 'there is some pressure on the side of the big toe' NOT 'these don't fit very well' and spend time the first or second pair will almost deffinatly not be the one oh and one final thing, where the socks or tights you plan to wear to class.

I don't remember the bran we tried on, but make sure you get the lambs wool to wrap around your feet, instead of the pads; pads are for trained ballet dancers. Normally your teacher has someone to come in and measure you, and decide what brand you should get.
