Nude scenes - would you strip?

So, I was in a fairly big play earlier this month which involved a nude scene. Because it was in the script, and I always honor the writer's initial work as much as I can, I accepted the task no questions asked. Despite the fact that fellow, far more experienced, actors told me it was reknowned as the most difficult thing to do onstage, I didn't have any real problems with it as such, apart from the worry that a fellow cast member may steal my set underpants (to put on mid scene) as a final night gag.

And so, my question to other actors is, if offered, would you ever do a nude scene if it was so required by the play/film/whatever?

I'd like to think I'm comfortable enough to be able to do it. I definitely have no problem being in my underwear on stage, so I think it's just a bit of a step to go from one to the other.

I would, however, like to know that this scene is planned from the beginning of the rehearsal process. There's comfortable, and then there's comfortable, and if you don't actually get nekked until you're down to the wire or even performing, that can affect things a lot.

I wouldn't go nude on stage, but I have seen it done...well, wait. She stripped, but didn't go all the way, so I guess I haven't. It isn't really something I'd like to do or see, for that matter.

I'd want butt-makeup, though. Stretchmarks. Eugh.

And I'd have to start doing the nudity like halfway through the rehearsal process at the latest, to make sure that I was comfortable with it.

I'd do it, but as with what has been said by others, I wouldnt go all the way bare until near the end of the rehersal process and I would make sure anything I had off or onstage that I needed to put on was under the watchful eye of someone trustworthy...

It depends, how much money would I get? Don't get me wrong, I'd be uncomfortable. I defenitely wouldn't do anything really racey sweatdrop , for any amount of money, but I wouldn't mind if I only had to show a little whee .

I would never want to -- and I prefer not to do things that I don't actually have a desire to do. Plus, I would be unbelievable uncomfortable and somewhat morally convicted.

Well, if I was in that predicament, you'd probably hear a loud whisper halfway throughout the scene "Hey, you're supposed to put the clothes back on now!"

if it was tasteful, done in confidence and with no videocameras, then I'd be fine with it.
