wee i luv colorguard! people who hate it can get stabbed with a real sabre.

my older sisters were both in marching band/colorguard, so i was like ya, i'm gonna play an instrument in marching band! so i started playing trumpet. a few years later i realized i was horrible at trumpet and i couldn't memorize music( i asked my bands teacher about trying baritone in like march, never got to try it. he kept saying the next day, tomorrow, on tuesday,) so then i was like, i'll do that other thing! and here i am.

Ha! I can't wait until Marching season is over so I can leave my mellophone behind and get back into winterguard.

haha, i'm not in marching band, so i don't have to wait that long! xp
this year is gonna be amazing, i just know it! haha, and i can't wait to do freshman recruitment... ON MY BIRTHDAY! lame... we're probably gonna have to ditch our lunch break again and just have it later and just long enough to eat... but we're that dedicated! lol

Thanks to the Rejected Olympics, avis can now hold flags!!!!

I definitly do guard. Have for three going on four years now. It's a little early to be thinking about winterguard now isn't it? Considering Marching season just started...

How are people's shows shaping up? My band already has two thirds of our show down. Drill, music, guard work, and everything. Anyone else that far? Our show is entitled 'On Edge' and it's supposed to be very intense.

Here's a link to the early stages of our opening number if anyone's interested.

YESYESYES!!!!

I love guard! I'm in my second Fall Season, and a Freshie this year. I'm (Warning: Possible bragging ahead!) the only underclassman on Rifle Line! I was incredibly excited when I made Rifle Line, I love rifle to death. I ran around my house screaming. xD

I want to make A Guard this year for winter season. (Varsity, basically.) I was on B Guard for my first Winter Season, and I loved it. I'll do B Guard again if I don't make A Guard. I just really want to make A Guard, you know? Like, I want to do all those weekend practices and grueling all-day camps, because I love the feel of being at a competition knowing that this is what I've been working for, this amazing high is the reason I went through all the sweat and blood and bruises.

Our Fall show this year is called 'MetamorphoSeuss'. We get to spin hoolahoops!! They have a bar in the middle, and we spin them like rifles.
The last week of band camp, we got them put together, but they hadn't been taped yet. The guard captains were like 'We got new toys today. DON'T TOUCH THEM.' And we were all like gonk

I have videos of our Winter Show (Black Balloon) and our Fall Show (Bent) from last year on YouTube, if anyone's interested in seeing them.

We're setting the fourth movement (We have five) with work and music now. ^^

Love guard.
I was gonna do clarinet, but since the director found out I'd been doing Chinese dance for 10 years...

I was Captain my sophomore year.
Now I'm a junior, but my parents are bitches and refuse to sign the form to let me do it this year.
I was soooooo pissed.
