is anyone on a colorguard team i mean like twirling and tossing flags, rifles, sabers,or air blades.im dying to find someone who shares my passion of throwing stuff really hi in the air.
this is my first year on color guard. its so much fun4laugh the tricks are a lot easier than most of the basic moves. I still have trouble with a horizontal & a crank toss. Our color guard team has made up an entire dictionary of color guard terms like flutters, windmills, palm roll, drop spinsbiggrin
Ours has too.. This is my second year of guard and i love it. My only disappointment is that we arent using weapons this year.. Cuz i love the sabresmile
well. i do color guard but its a JROTC thing. kinda like mini military style. its really fun but throwing rifles is totally a different thing but i love doing it. what i do is i throw and spin 9lbs rifles and im training to do that in the army drill team. sorry if this is totally different than what you wanted.
hey cherphrell im on yer thred and i like color guard tooo but you alredy kno that cuz we're on the same team.....
horrray for rediculous mystique color guard
I did color guard all through HS, but only winter guard now in college. I'm instructing now at a nearby school, which is fun, though it means getting my butt kicked at band camp again. *groan* I love teaching rifle and sabre, while I leave most of the dance and silks to my colleague.
Have to admit, I really didn't miss the outdoor weather, but I suppose I just got spoiled by indoor. XD
Anyone else out there not just on a HS unit, but higher?
I was in color guard in high school and we could only use flags. Sabers weren't allowed to be used in my county (although one school used it anyways). The college I'm going to will start a marching band next year and I hope to be in color guard there.
