Short/Fiction/Horror ("Slaughter Lane")

Author's Notes:
I merely post this for entertainment purposes. I'm not a professional writer, nor I claim to be (mush less wish to) but I do enjoy writing and have been doing so for years... It keeps the mind in the "right" place and the therapists away, I suppose. As some choose to self-medicate with fancy dinning and new clothes, or alcohol and television, I do the same but with a notebook and pen.

I do hope to be "entertaining" enough for you not to waste time with this following text and maybe find something underneath the Gaia-imagery in a home-alone in a boring saturday night. Now, less of my wantings and off to let you into what this (the text) is; It's a fictional short story I'm currently writing. It is not a work of 'fan-fiction', as the fashion seems to be, but [hopefully] a more fullfilling typing/writing. It needs work beyond the time I can offer to it, I'll admit that. So, if it's not satifying in any way to you, I apologize beforehand (yet, I do not regret writing any of the following words, due that I enjoyed placing them on paper more than any other rewarding thing I've done in my life.) The text is in the works (still) and, again, undeniably needs editing. What is shown below, it's only part of what is almost in its final draft... maybe.

Why that is very kind of you and, I probably will finish the tale in no time due that I've been at it for a year-or-so (further-added details would kill me at this point.) I only hope to finish up the tedious editing phase before I'm thirty. Hah.

Hm.. A "Long story", perhaps? Hah.
I suppose it's meant to be a compliment, if so thank you (I believe my poor compliment-handling skills are showing.) Yet, I must say that all I really attempt to, let's say, "gain" from this text as its brothers and sisters, is mere self-pleasure (or, in-a-way, fulfillment.)

What I write it's not meant for others to read... but I am conscious that a text, in order to be shaped and reach its real potential, has to be read and critiqued (and edited and so-on.) So, I somewhat bend my unwritten rules about it and allow them to be seen, now and then.
