These individuals arose and came together not out of happenstance or shared absurdity of a zombie apocalypse; but instead came from the same high school. To understand them each as a person, you must first understand them as the collective group they grew from.

What You Need to Know About...

The Table Krew

Once there was a large and tightly knit group of teenagers bound together by the single prevalent thread of high school. It was the group consisting of strangely dressed, seemingly outcast members of the school's social society that coalesced together and took over a specific table found in the farthest corner of the school's cafeteria during their commonly shared lunch period (to those that did not share it, skipping of undesirable classes was not unheard of.) Their ages varied and often made little difference when it came to topics of discussion outside of class, each person carrying their own significant level of experience and maturity that more often than not, surpassed their respective year-mates.

The group was large and consisted of many stereotypes from all walks of life, from the sorely abused to the moderately privileged; these people spent a considerable amount of time with one another through their shared link of being jailed for five-to-six hours a day, five times a week. They were each unique, talented, and highly gifted individuals in their own rights and specific fields of interest. (Whether they were approved talents within the public eye remained to be seen...)

These teenagers went through many shared experiences; either parties, plays, clubs, melodrama, or shared grief. Each and every time, they pulled through, with either smiles or frowns- but always ending up stronger for it.

As the years passed, the difference in years began to matter, for a good deal of them graduated; leaving the group a shadow of its original size and glory. A few managed to stay behind for another year, either to make up credits from previously failed classes, or to complete certain requirements their school placed upon them in order to earn the right to graduate. But there were some, who used such excuses and reasons as a clever guise in order to hide their fears; fears of what? No one was quite sure.

Once high school was done and over with, many things took place; but one event stood out the most- a belated graduation/birthday party. It was festive, it was fun~ filled with good food, good drink, and even better company. But events and situations that could no longer be avoided occurred.

In the end, the high school sweethearts were broken, and with them, the group split further. Slashing its remaining members in half, leaving them to choose between two different members of the group that had once been jokingly thought of as a single entity.

Certain individuals were purposely ignored while others combated with words. Some merely moved on, trying their best to grow up in ways they thought they'd already had.

What remained of the Table Krew eventually came together every few months for the occasional holiday, but it was never as it once was. Fewer people came as the months went by. Many could no longer tolerate the differences in behavior of one another that they had previously had to endure due to the necessity of a shared high school.

Time, change, and overall differences slowly but surely whittled down the size and strength of this group- leaving behind a few individuals determined enough to keep and further their friendships beyond the shallow views of childhood and systems of education despite the trying history they all shared with one another.

These were the people who still managed to cling to that which was familiar borne through the years of closeness once enforced by the system, and later enforced by themselves out of habit...

Blake

Blake was staunchly refusing to think about the fact he'd walked in on his parents as they were consuming his still, partially alive siblings. He didn't want to think about the fact that all he'd done was back out of the house and close his front door before telling Catzi to get the hell back into the car. Blake was trying real hard not to think about anything, if only to save his outward calm and inward sanity (however temporary and fleeting it would be,) since he needed to be the one in control as his girlfriend went through the topsy-turvy mindset of shell-shockingly numb and being utterly terrified around the clock. He didn't know how he'd be able to deal with it all and hoped to some small extent that one of their friends would provide some stability in a world that had suddenly become anything but.

Catzi thought she was okay there for a little bit, but now... Now it was all catching up to her. The zombies may not have souls riding them- but she has since begun to realize that her extreme fear of the undead wasn't solely founded on the basis of 'souls forced to endure the acts of the undead,' but was more centered around the fact that zombies were very ******** real, and right up in her face. Catzi isn't yet sure if she should commit suicide or not to end the horribly real nightmare that her life has become.

********. Donna was pissed and upset. Her mother and Todd are trapped up in Seattle due to traffic, Steven was still being an a** (even as the zombie invasion was all but upon them,) and she'd had to leave her rats behind. And the one time the front door had ever been left open- their zombie-fied neighbor had to waltz on in and make her ruin the stupid couch which her mom was still paying for. Everything royally sucked.

He needed more pills. And a shark-suit; because Jason wasn't taking any chances with the homeless zombies and un-living dead children. He'd taken steps to call and inform those he'd cared about, and let everyone else rot. As it was, Jason didn't like to think about what fate his two, elderly parents would soon befall- that, and he wasn't terribly sure how his guinea-pigs would fair in the end. It was all a very depressing subject to ponder. Which just ended up being another reason as to why he'd pop another two vicodin and curb-stomp some zombie skulls.

"There, take a look for yourself, no normal person would be walking around with a severed arm or broken legs without screaming, or bleeding like a stuck pig." Jessica snapped a little harsher than she'd intended while motioning for her mother to take a look. Her nerves were terribly frayed and they had a lot to do, but so little seemed to be getting done- they didn't have this kind of time to be wasting!"

You'd think a zombie apocalypse would be a joke, but Jess hadn't found it funny. She got right down to business after locking the door and turning off all the lights as she went about informing her family of the newest, killer development that had cropped up within their lives. Quick and efficient about rounding up supplies and calling her closest friends- Jessica wasted no time in getting everyone and everything into the car and off to Costco to meet up with gang and plan the next move.

Just woken up and alerted to zombies, Tara knows two things- her mother and her sister are most assuredly dead... And Jim (her mother's long-term boyfriend,) is on Whidbey Island. The former she can't readily think about, and the latter, she couldn't really give a s**t about since he's such a d**k. So here she is, alone in her house, in the middle of the night with two dogs (one she loves, and one she wants to feed Draino,) two cats, and a fish. She doesn't know where the hell to start and is really hoping it's all just a dream
