What is it that makes us right?
What is honor?
What is it you'd die to protect?

What is it that gives us the courage to cross the unknown,
And come out unscathed
Who is it that challenges our motives?
Who is it that strangles us with words?

What makes us walk?
What is motivation?
Who lets us hide our fear?
Wo kills us in the end?

To feel your hand in mine.
To see that light at the end of the tunnel.
What is it that makes us dive into darkness,
And come out broken and shattered,
Yet still be hand in hand?

What is it that makes you touch me so softly,
Yet choke me when I try to do the same?
What I'd oh that let's me take the beatings,
And still stand to hold you,
When no one else will?

Yet, what is it that makes us stay?
Instead of walking away in the other direction?
Is it the love always yearned for?
The protection i wanted to give?

What is it that gives us hope?
What is it that makes us sorry?

Who are you?
I'm you.

You don't know me.
I know you better than you know yourself.

What is it that makes you hide in a closet,
And claw and bite anyone that dares go near?

Yet why do I let you bite me and scratch me,
And you fight harder to keep me away, even if I say it's ok?
Is it that you're afraid if being hurt?
I won't hurt you, I promise, you're safe here.

I ask nothing of you, only that you let me in.
I know it hurts, I know it's scary.
I'm just like you, believe it or not.

So what is it that makes us give to the poor?
What is it that makes me offer something no one else will?
No one will hurt you here, no one can get you.

What is it that makes us fight? Love?
What is honor? I'm not sure.
What is it you'd die to protect?

You don't know?
Let me show you.
In the eleventh line I think you forgot an H in "Wo"

Overall the poem seemed to drag on without really saying much. I got the image that someone was dieing or was being abused but it wasn't that clear what was going on and why all these questions were being asked in the first place. I think I would have liked to have a little bit more in the way of setting to really get into the poem, or a little more discussion about the questions that were asked.

Overall I do like that when the speaker isn't asking questions there is something exact going on, I just can't quite grasp what it is with just the dalouge.
