Welcome to Gaia! ::

Though flawed, she was perfect, replicating glass, smooth on the surface yet small invisible flaws irrelevant to her true perfection. A personality like a kiss from the sun, or maybe a warm breeze on a sunny day. A girl free of confinements with a pure heart and mind.

Slow and fine as a mist, creeping up on her till she slowly split. A small crack forming, then another and then another. Although she was holding together like pieces in a puzzle, she was no longer perfect. A mask placed on her face, a strong front to keep others from destruction, only to be revealed as an illusion. No longer did hurt come slowly, it hit in rapid pace at unexpected times. A pure heart becoming tainted.

It was as if she was targeted. Like someone knew she was soon beyond repair and soon to break. Pierced like she was a dart board, shattered like a dropped cup, and tumbling down like a brick wall. It finally broke, illusion gone and never fixed.

Often she meets pity smiles only to be outweighed by the words. For every word she hears, she feels the need to explode but she keeps it locked up and for every blade she sees, it becomes a release. It`s not a want, its a need. The getaway, the numbness. Something addicting, something she has to have by her side. Believing that it is helping her cope with the strangling words. Sharp and cutting, she repeats the strokes. Kitchen knives, pencil sharpeners, to even the lone piece of glass left from her broken mirror.

Nobody sees it, hidden away the blood flows just under the layers. Unsuspecting she rolls up the denim and cuts against the fleshy meat. As she begins wearing short sleeves again, others think she’s healing when she only switched her place of comfort. Believing she’s already hit rock bottom and finally returning, only a few still care.

They say, it`s going to get better. Comforting words coming from every direction, reused and recycled. False pretenses given like a daily dose and fake lies handed out lightheartedly. Understandment fading, confusion replacing, and impatience growing. Help she cries but it only falls on the deaf, being treated like a joke. The edge isn’t far, only a few words away.

The blue is comforting, almost having it’s own sinking feeling. Slowly, similar to time stopping, she finally feels relaxed. Gravity drags her down faster than the hurt she faces take her down, she feels it crushing her yet it feels better than the bitter abuse she takes from others. Salt fills her lungs and throat. A burning feeling that makes her feel warm, a pleasant reminder of the close end. Her last heartbeat falters while she closes her eyes and smiles happy to finally hit rock bottom.
Thats a very passionate literary piece. Your use of imagery and word choice makes it truly relatable and striking. You are quite a talented writer ^^
