Welcome to Gaia! ::

Did I ever wake up from the detective’s chair?

My eyes were swollen
my brain a wet sponge
I remember the cold air
though my spirit had run

Did I ever wake up from the detective’s chair?

Had he asked me questions?
did I answer with blank stares?
Was this because I had
forgotten my prayers?

Did I ever wake up from the detective’s chair?

I thought maybe I’d hibernate
for a couple of days
but sadly the World blew up in his
flames

Flames, flames, flames-

From sparks of her sage?
My spirit had run
and my soul, it had changed.

Changed, Chains, Chained

My world became ranged.
Like a cow sent for slaughter
I was locked in a cage.

Half of me missing and the journey to find
was this forever? Did I leave myself behind?
How long have I been sleeping
9 years- Rewind.

Rewind, Rewind, Rewind.

9 years? Is this fair?
for a 12 year old's nightmare?
nightmares and dad scares
for forgetting my prayers.
blind stares, cares, and prayers
glass fears and nightmares

Will the detective shout JACOB,
and push me out of this nightmare

Did I ever wake up,
from the detectives chair?
I find this poem to be interesting and well though out. Nice job.
